Yup someone commented that to me a bit ago. I will know this for next time. I'm no professional lol. Just try to save some money with projects that aren't that difficult.

The first set of pads you had were wrong because those are for a Japan built Camry and yours was USA made. That’s one of the things that they made different between those models. Went thru that issue when we needed brakes for our 2004. Mine is also USA built. The guy at the parts counter should of asked you if it was USA or Japan built. It’s something I battle at work all the time as a mechanic always have to double check if it’s USA or Japan made. It sucks you broke your ratchet lol. One time I done that on brakes and flung my hands into something sharp and cut them up. Luckily I was ok though haha.

Yeah I figured it was something like that. I will definitely have that knowledge for next time. Thank you for the info. It was a cheap ratchet and I should of used a more heavy duty socket. Glad you didn't damage the hand. We need those things doing what we do lol. Thanks for watching and the comment!

You could also use the old brake pads and a C Clamp to compress the piston if you don’t have anything else, good video.

I would also mention what size wrenches you use for the job , if memory serves me correct 14 mil for pads bracket and 17 mm for caliper .. u use piece of lumber with a nail sticking out to compress piston inside the caliper lol ?

Seems to have gotten the job done! Thanks for the support! Yeah I don't think the nails interfered with competing the job!

@@irishryder2470 I gave them my exact car information but they still didn’t fit. I was able to do the front but not the rear.

@@LEEKKING4 I brought the old pads to compare. I think I ended up having to go with a 2001 brake pad for the rear. Try and take the pad with you and compare different years. Someone told me the reason I got the wrong ones in the video the first time was because my car was most likely made in America not Japan so different brake pads.

Thanks for the insight. Let me teach you something... There's a search bar if you wanna learn something. I bet a bunch of people learned something from my video. Thanks for the positive criticism though. You're one of those people who don't contribute anything to a channel. A leach per say. So go suck off someone else's energy. I didn't put anywhere in my description this is how you do it to the tee. Just me posting a video of what I did and it worked. If you can't pick it up sorry. Snowflakes need spoon-feed sessions nowadays. Bye buddy thanks for not subscribing! Love peace and harmony.

This is the best amateur wrong way to change pads of course you broke your ratchets you never Hammer it's that way with the hammer you should have used the old school wrench Style torque maneuver my God you must go through so many tools everything of a torsion bar too or a pipe around your wrench socket LOL

You watched it so must of been some type of entertainment. It's all about getting the job done. I'm pretty sure my brakes and rotors work fine years later. I'm no professional but I got the job done. Thanks for watching! Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe!! How is it the wrong way by the way if it works?

@@irishryder2470It IS THE WRONG WAY. Because you are teaching people how not to do breaks the correct way!.. and in the kitchen that you broke a ratchet on such a simple job to do is a huge flag in the caring how not to do things to begin with!... slamming a hammer on a ratchet to loosen a caliber Bolt? That is definitely a hacker's way of doing things lol... you use a simple thick enough metal pipe to go over the ratchet and use it as a LEVER TO LOOSEN THE BOLT!... what you did was slam your ratchet with a hammer which is the complete wrong way!...Only a first time amatuer would fo that!... many other problems with this video which I won't get into but you're supposed to make videos that help people learn the right way, not learn the wrong way! If you can't understand that then you don't care about teaching you only cared about the likes in your video... must be amazing how many tools you broke not knowing how to do mechanics 😮😮😮😮😅😅😅

@@5star141 since when did it become a crime to post a video. I didn't put in the title "HOW TO CHANGE BRAKES". MY TITLE SIMPLY STATES changing rear brakes and rotors. Go through my other comments. People who like building together comment advice. People who are like crabs in a bucket like to say negative things about it. Keep on with your bad self Sabastian!
