When I was younger I used to get bullied for “being ugly” and so as I got older I got glasses and got less hate for having small eyes..and I never took of my glasses cuz I was so scared that they would laugh ..last week I got a hair cut with bangs and this girl (who was my friend) asked me to show her my forehead and I did abs she laughed so i never did it again and now I feel like it’s a must to cover it but idk But idrc anymore cuz they just dumb asf 💀and people be like “ur werid “ and I’m like”yessir”

5:20 Omfg yes. Yesterday, I was voice messaging my Swedish friend, and i was speaking Swedish (I'm not fluent), and he's never heard me speak Swedish before, and I got so nervous. When I switched to English in a voice message and I kept putting on a country accent (which I only use to clown around, I'm from Texas and have a standard American accent). I had to record the memo several times cause I would stop using the accent, and I didn't want him to think that was my real dialect 😭😭😭

No, because I see where you are coming from. For a long time I was thinking about how I was changing my voice, behavior and certain words around different people. I honestly think it’s a normal thing that humans do to adapt to the environment they are in. Of course your voice will be different when you are excited vs calm. Of course your word choice and tone will differ from talking to teachers vs friends. As for your behavior, I think you need to make sure that you are still keeping your authentic self in front of everyone, but if you have certain things that you do with certain people, that’s ok. The only time changing yourself is bad, is when you are fully changing everything about yourself to “fit in” or doing certain dangerous behaviors around people who are bad influences.

I have been changing myself for so long that the fake me is me now. I was different in front of my friends and family but now I act the same towards both just more open with family because I am more comfortable with them, but everything else is the same. I don't know who I am anymore and including other experiences has made me act even more different. I hope that I find someone that will love me for the REAL me but for someone to love the real me I need to find that me. So I hope I find the right person and the real me soon

Once when my sister and I were kids we went to a McDonald's playground and for some reason decided to pretend to be British and that our names were "Susan" and "Lucy". We were going through a huge Narnia phase at the time. The other kids on the playground fully bought it. It was great. We literally kept it up the whole time we were there and played so many games with the other kids as these fake personas. For no reason other than it was funny to us.

I really get that sometimes you should be yourself and sometimes you should be fake because I'm home educated and a lot of my friends go to school and quite a few of them are doing SAT's and GCSEs. I have nothing against doing exams and things but I don't understand why you have to stress about something when it's not actually testing you, it's testing the teachers. half the time it doesn't mean much in the real world at all. I try not to put my opinion out there because lots of people will get really angry with me but one of my closest friends studies for tests and stuff and gets really really anxious and I tell her but you don't have to pass! it's not actually going to matter if you don't pass. She tries to explain to me but it still doesn't make much sense. At this point I'm so sick of people telling me that "oh it does matter" that I don't care. I will say what I want and if they care that's their problem not mine. Sorry this was so long, it's just something I need a Social filter for, lol

When COVID first hit I hated the masks n shi. So when school first started I didn’t wear it that much (the masks weren’t that strict) and I became friends with someone who damaged my mental health and self esteem. To the fact where I wore a mask to hide my face. Worst decision of my life. I honestly am confident now but it damaged me more than anything else has. This year was the first year I didn’t wear a mask but I did under my chin cuz I didn’t want to show my chin and stuff. Now I believe I had a glow up, but it ruined me. And it fucking scarred me. My dad even wanted to take away my masks so I wouldn’t wear it and I had the worst mental breakdown. I almost passed out. It ruined me, I still have extreme social anxiety but I’m always open to try new things. I am very insecure about my arms, and eyes. (Sorry for ranting) 😭 I’m also very insecure abt my skin. I’m rlly pale and everyone makes fun of me for it. And they say I never go outside (I go outside everyday) I just can’t get a tan and EVERYTIME I wear shorts everyone points it out.
