Hi Jimmy, I posted in another video about our LT2. I bought a used 1972 LT2 around 1975 when I was 15. I rode it through high school. I would spend 50 cents a week on gas for it. I rescued it after my brother blew it up and took it to college with in my truck camper. After I started working, I left it at my parents for 7 years until I finally rescued it again. I cleaned it up and it ran great. I took it with me to upstate NY where for reasons I can't fathom, it sat in the barn for 3 years. I started it the day before I left. Its currently in a friends leaky building and I'm going to rescue it yet again next week.

Nice!!! I had a Yamaha dt80 at one point, fun little bike to tool around the yard on 👍

I have such fond memories of my days riding 80s and wish I could go back there for a day. :) My first bike was a 1975 Suzuki TM75 and how I wish I could find a decent one!

Great choice for a restoration. I bought a new LT2 100 just like yours when I was 15 years old. Rode it to school, around town and then raced it on weekends. I had a lot of fun with that motorcycle! Thanks for reminding me of that bike.

Man, I love this story. I don't know if I'll do a full-on restoration or just clean it up and leave it original. Probably the latter. But putting some miles on her is definitely in the picture. And for a brief second I thought about taking it to AMA Vintage Days to ride in the Hare Scramble. :)

First bike Iever rode was one like this when I was a teenager - it was up at my buddy's cottage - he had a 175 and his younger brother had a 100. We had a blast on those! Looking forward to future videos. Glad to hear things are picking up for you - it's been a strange year and a half. Kelly

Right on, KT! It's amazing to hear how many people started on bikes like this. And thanks for the well wishes...it HAS been a strange year and a half. Looking much better now, though, for which I'm grateful.

Had a 1977 Yamaha DT100 Enduro. Anything but an enduro but it looks a lot like yours. Look forward to it.

Yep, so many of these Yamaha Enduros stayed much the same for years and years. It's making it easier to find parts now, too. Thanks for watching!

The first bike I owned (purchased myself as new) was a Yamaha AT1-c. My dad had the gold tank 90cc similar to your 100. I would enjoy a bike like that. I’ll be following. Again, I love your videos.

I would have LOVED to find an AT1 (or a CT1) - love those bikes. The LT2 just happened to be available and it's been a blast working on it. I can see your dad's 90 in my mind, too (my dad had a Suzuki TS90 and TC185 back then). And thanks so much for the kind words on the videos...the respect is mutual! Getting your suspension mods done to the XT is on my goal list someday. 😊👍

I have 1974 Yamaha 125 Enduro that needs to come out of hibernation of 30 plus years, I wish I never got rid of the 175.
@jimmytmoto3 жыл бұрын
Yes, get that bike out of hibernation! No time like the present. :)

damn dude you're still posting a good clip! Great stuff as always! What happened with your business? Not tryna rub it in, most businesses had a bad time
@jimmytmoto3 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Box House! And no problem on asking about the business. A number of my annual video jobs were cancelled when live events were all cancelled. For years I have gone to events and filmed performance, interviews, and educational videos. Well, they just didn't happen last year. This year is seeing a nice rebound, though, and for that I'm thankful. Thanks always for watching!

Just discovered your channel today. I was looking for information on the Shinko 244 and discovered your video. Looking at the video listings I see a lot of good potential info. I do a bit of reconditioning of bikes myself, and looks like you do as well. I am subscribed now and look forward to watching more of your videos. In the past 4 years I have reconditioned a 1975 Suzuki Rl250 and a 1975 Honda TL250. I am the original owner of the Suzuki and the Honda is one my cousin gave me to restore. He is the original owner as well. I am 70 yrs. old and still get out to do some trail riding with my grand kids when weather permits. One question I have, and perhaps it's in one of your videos, where are you located? Are you still in West Virginia? I am in Northwestern Pa. Got a lot of snow today. Thanks. LaVern

I want a 175
@jimmytmoto3 жыл бұрын
Boy, I really do, too. If I could have had any of them it would have been the 175. It's such a nice compromise between power and weight. The little 100 was available, though, and I couldn't pass it up, just glad that I found it!
