I've spent 15 years interviewing people and you never talk over them and deny them the opportunity to speak like this. The interview is not about your opinions but rather providing a platform for theirs to be heard. Once you've stated your question you allow them to answer, you don't demand that they answer the way you wanted them to. This interview obviously had a time component which meant it couldn't be long form, but there's a huge difference between directing someone back to an aspect of the question and, as this woman repeatedly did, instead simply talking over them as soon as they say something you do not like or that you disagree with. Would it be possible for Channel four to get someone who understands the basics of interviewing to conduct their interviews or was the intention all along to ensure Milo couldn't properly express himself and paint a particular picture of him by bombarding him with the opinions and characterisations of the interviewer and sound-bytes from his work?

this is a cry i hear alot from milo supporters - reporters interrupt him An interview is about hammering out information from a subject and if that subject has answered the question to the interviewers satifaction then he or she will press onto the next point. Milo is to the point and follows an easy to follow pattern. Interrupting Milo while he's answering politely and accurately just shows that the reporter is trying to combat him rather than hear him, in effect the reporter is proving his point without him having to say anything.

I have come to this video after seeing Cathy interview Jordan Peterson, and I must say I'm greatly disappointed in channel 4 for keeping this woman as an interviewer.
