Anne of Cleve was the most lucky one and maybe the most clever one. She didn't fight Henry and maybe even never slept with him, and therefore she survived. Got a fine house, money, servants - no stillbirths, no beheading.
@Fiddling_while_Rome_burns4 жыл бұрын
Richest women in England, was allowed back to court where she became popular and friends with Henry and a party girl. Given the freedom to marry whoever she wanted or return to Germany, chose to be single in England. When Mary took the throne this Lutheran converted to Catholicism drop of a hat, kept her status and wealth, and was favoured by Mary as an example. When Elizabeth took the throne converted to Protestantism at the drop of a hat kept her wealth and status. Definitely a sly mover and a life million times better than being Henry's wife. To think she's the one historians look at as the poor cast off one.
