Okay but everyone knows Welsh is the hardest native English-speaking accent. (Don't kill me, Wales, I know there's a language you barely use.) My favorite example of this is Christian Bale, who was born and largely raised in Wales, playing the voice of Howl in Howl's Moving Castle. In the book, Howl is Welsh. In the movie, he's suddenly quite American. And if a Welshman won't do a Welsh accent, no one should attempt it.
@overlydramaticpanda4 жыл бұрын
@Valrath823 Oh god no. As someone from the West Country and who already has to listen to our accents be regularly butchered on film and TV, I'm eternally grateful that he *didn't* attempt that accent. As a general rule, most Americans (including RDJ, though he is better than most) can't even pull off the standard RP "British" accent - once you throw regional accents into the mix (especially one that the vast majority of Brits can't even get right), they wouldn't stand the slightest chance.

Speaking of the Eddie Murphy Dr. Dolittle, when I saw this in my notifications, I had just started watching The Golden Child on Amazon Prime. Clearly mine was the better choice. If you haven't seen it in a while or have never seen it, The Golden Child is an Eddie Murphy classic, and I really recommend it.
