Project 24 is our membership program that teaches you how to work toward replacing your current income with income from KZbin channels and websites in 24 months.
Project 24 is a product of Income School LLC. Results mentioned are not typical. The trademark “Project 24” refers to the goal of some people to create a successful business in 24 months, but is not a promise or guarantee of that success. Many online businesses fail because, like any business, it requires hard work, skill, and dedication. Before making business decisions, consult financial and legal professionals licensed in your jurisdiction.

Sorry for the late publish today! We've been working on a video that will be ready in a few weeks, but wanted to share some spur of the moment thoughts on the (slightly concerning) results from our data gather! Y'all are great!!

The main differentiation between successful and fail YT creator is that the losing ones always complain the algorithm doesn't love them and treat them fairly, while the successful ones keep silent and work hard to improve their channels✨✨

Love you guys. It’s good to hear that you have your struggles. We should all work towards beating ourselves and not others. Looking at old videos and seeing some faults means you have the knowledge to improve. If you don’t see what you’re doing wrong you’ll stay stuck.

I think you need a fair bit of confidence in order to grow your channel, confidence + willingness to learn and adapt as necessary are so important for growth in life in general, but esp on YT! I look forward to seeing the rest of the study. I had the best Mac n cheese of my life in the Bahamas over 20 years ago, it was cheesy and spicy and so good. I'm surprised I haven't tried to recreate it. LOL

I will admit, I'm not being very competitive right now. I have little going for me but helpfulness and a moderate on-screen presence.

I consider myself still very new to KZbin, and still in the finding my feet stage, so I compare where I am now to where I was a few months ago but I generally don't compare myself to competitors yet because I guess I don't feel like I'm in the race yet. I'm just warming up.

Ive been a jack of all trades since birth. It has its downsides but it does help guarentee a job. Being a specialist will typically earn you more money tho, you may have to wait in line longer for work

@ChannelMakers Do you think these preliminary results indicate blind spots? Or does it seem like creators believe that only their primary skill(s) determine success?
@ChannelMakers
@ChannelMakers 2 ай бұрын
Oh man, that's such good question. My guess is that it's primarily the second one. I think they decide that "high production" or fast pacing for example isn't what they are going for because it isn't their style. And there is definitely room for doing your own style, but you also need to serve what the market wants to some extent if you hope to grow a thriving channel. -Julia

I love this kind of stuff. I would have totally joined in on this. I would have rated myself low. 😂 I don’t think I’m great at anything and can improve on every single aspect. I’m trying, I just wish I could do it faster. I think I look more confident on camera than I feel when recording. I think the audience may read that lack of confidence as a bit off putting and I’m trying to get rid of it.

@LifeAfterLosing love your channel name! You are obviously doing some things well because you have subscribers and community engagement!
@LifeAfterLosing

@@TheBetterAdultProject it’s not bad, I just compare myself to others in my niche and I don’t get the same engagement with subscribers that they do. I probably shouldn’t compare myself, but I do. I’m hoping that engagement grows over time. My favorite part of doing this is engaging with people and I love when they let me know that that like or do not like something so I can make changes.

@LifeAfterLosing Are you comparing yourself to people who started at the same time/have the same number of videos as you? It's important not to compare yourself to people years, or skill levels way ahead. Of course we can learn from them, but when we know background stories, usually it shows just how much work/time/background experience they had or put in.
@LifeAfterLosing

@@TheBetterAdultProject well of course! They have thousands of subscribers and probably 3 times as many videos as I do. 😂 I think it took me too long to embrace who I am and what I bring to the table. I am older than a lot of KZbinrs and thought that was a detriment, but I’m starting to embrace that more and realize my audience is mostly my age or older anyway, so I was afraid of being in my late 40’s for nothing. We bring a different perspective to certain things and that’s ok.

@@LifeAfterLosing 😊It's great you've realised and embraced what you bring to the table! I follow KZbinrs of all ages. Initially, it can feel like YT is only for younger people, but it's definitely not the case.

when poorly put together questionable videos get millions of views, which just skirt the youtube rules and regulations. and good quality videos get 50 views yeah youtube is a bit of a mess at present.

So, how important is audio quality really? Frankly, I don't care as long as I can clearly hear what's being discussed in the video that I'm watching. I would suppose it's probably more important for certain genres and less for others.

Tbh, I think you guys make really good videos. I find myself learning a lot. However, I see the views on all the videos and I feel bad that you’re not being pushed out the way you should be. It’s probably the case that the channel used to be Nate hosted and it switched over and in the audience, there might be some resentment. Have you guys ever thought about changing the channel name and logos? Or like a soft reboot to move away from that era of the channel? I don’t mean any disrespect in asking that. I just had a thought about that. I think the thumbnails are fine but the name, logo, and banner could use like I said a small reboot.
