"I only wish to live one second more than Ben (her son)." Parents want the best for their kids especially those with disabilities. A great video. Bravo to these parents! We have to learn to be grateful for our situations and circumstances. 🙏🙏🙏

May PM look into the aftercare of persons with special needs after the passing of their caregivers. Including insurance coverage for their caregivers and them to defray cost esp those from low income. This will give them a peace of mind which wont give them high anxiety and result in depression which worsens the situation.
@remidis16 күн бұрын
If given a choice, do you think that PM will request for more of our country funds to be added for aftercare of people that cannot even work due to disabilities since young or fund on low income family where the young and healthy are eager to work

I have a 27 year old Autistic boy (only child), and I'm now over 60. These are things that are so hidden in our society that we have to address now... so the future for our less-abled can be part of a nation, build by us (born 1950s to 60s). Setting-aside money is the easier part, but having truly caring people to work with the less-abled or dis-abled, requires selection and training. And they should be paid very very well. As well as, special consideration for physical facilities (building, infrastructure) needs to be developed and communicated overtly to the public asap. I hope that our government would make this a priority. We are literally worrying ouselves to death, or surrender to the divine. On top of all this, we--parents of special children, are fighting for our own retirement financially... that is an everest task in of itself.

There won't be enough caring truthful people in this world anymore by now. What we can do for the disabled is only supervision and AI interventions by now. Using money to bring in people to care for the disabled only draws in the wrong kind of people.

I cried seeing their smiling faces. They look so pure, innocent and lovely. I wish them the best. People, pls don't discriminate them, give them more understanding and love. Life is indeed more difficult for them without your kind and support. Thank you.

Wow! I can't help my tears from welling forth and at the same time I am so inspired by their determination to overcome their challenges to be more independent. The greatness of a mother's love knows no bounds. When Ben's mother only wish is to be able to live just 1 second longer than Ben. It touches me deeply as I understand why. As a mother, you just love your child unconditionally. There are moments we lose ourselves to anger or frustration but ultimately its still because of love, we feel that way. Thank you for sharing these inspiring personal accounts of strength, love and resilience. 🙏🙏🙏✨️

Children with body disability you can still leave this world abit easier when your time is up as they can still know what's going on,how to express themselves and seek aid if necessary. Children with intellectual disability... I also wish I knew the answer too. I don't think parents can truly go in peace. You will always be worried for them. Sigh.

Me too but as a survivor, i wonder if my parents not by my side anymore, can i survive? I dont want to inconvenienc or be a burden to my brothers, they have their own family and life. So i try to strengthen with community, so i can learn how to be independent, if someday i have to live alone. I dont want dependent to my brothers. They already make the line/border. I see community things in Singapore has developed, really good, it's make them feel, they are not alone, they have supporter

Great video, but I do have a question: did these people know about their children's potential disabilities before they were born and were given the chance to abort? I ask because there are new techniques to know about the likelihood of a fetus having Down syndrome like the NIPT test. Maybe they didn't have such technology back then?
@fitchlove171114 күн бұрын
I'm asking a sincere question (I don't mean to be funny or what). If a baby is diagnosed with cerebral palsy or another condition that will cause significant challenges in life, would you guys still choose to bring them into the world?
