Ardos swore revenge. Tbh, here's a fun shot at the third Orre game: Set decades in the future, Protagonist is a young girl who's the daughter of a now adult Jovi, who took up Krane's work in the time frame. Jovi and her husband, a man whose name is irrelevant (having a dad is good enough in this series, let alone giving him a name), decide it's time to give their child a partner Pokemon, and for the sake of modernization/deviation, it's a Mimikyu, because Pikachu is cliche and Eevee has been done (finally). What happens next is you go outside, and Zook appears. He's still salty to Jovi decades later, and you kinda swamp his new Zangoose which only has STAB moves and is "out of shape" meaning you whallop him. Jovi explains, and then security alarms go off. Dad rushes to check the container for the Snag Machine, only for you to catch up with it gone and he's on the ground. You then chase this mysterious person, and Jovi recognizes CIPHER point blank. She then shows off her battle ability and absolutely crushes this person with her obscenely strong Pokemon compared to their... Pokemon at half the level. This is the start. The eventual ending? Ardos is Wes, and Rui has been held prisoner because, in his words, "I cared for her, and knew how she was mistreated by Mirror B., Trudley, and Folley was just abhorrent. But at the same time, she was a road block in what my goals were. So when she and I fell asleep one night, I locked her in a room. This was done after Eagun and his wife passed, and I comforted her. It pained me to do this, but at the same time I needed to take my actions to reach my goals."

Fun Fact: If you try to attack the Teddiursa Krane will object and tell you to throw a pokeball instead. So you can only throw a pokeball in that battle. Fun Fact pt. 2: The Teddiursa in XD Gale of Darkness cannot break out of the pokeball, it can only be caght (meaning it's catch value in XD is more than likely coded as being 255, which is the maximum possible value, either that or that very first ball you throw is temporarily coded to be functionally the same as a Masterball (I have been learning a bit about coding, hence how I came to the conclusion, but I'm no dataminer so take it with a grain or two of salt)).

I always thought it was crazy how they throw soooooo many shadow pokemon at you on Citadark Isle but my logic behind that is assuming they figured since you're about to beat the story that all of those shadow pokemon would be good way to spend your time for post-game? That's my theory behind it at least.

I think the idea is that rather than them being more Pokemon for you to use, collecting so many Shadow Pokemon was part of the endgame challenge. It makes more sense if you think of it as a way to make Citadark more difficult than the rest of the game, since you're encouraged to snag 'em all.

I would love XD to get a remaster, just so I could use Moltres, Zapdos, Articuno, Ursaring, Espeon and Salamence again, my last team that I had and completed the story and not the Dex. The team I had when I thought I had beaten the game after saving Krane cause I was just a kid was Ursaring, Jolteon and Hariyama would never remember the rest cause these three were my team and the most memorable I did do the Mt. Battle after saving Krane thinking that I had beaten the game.

Having both Ardos & Eldes serve as checkpoints followed by Greevil was an odd choice. Eldes is the last opponent prior to Greevil, & all of his Shadow Pokemon are already fully evolved making him feel like a pointless checkpoint & the same holds true for each of the Shadow Pokemon between Ardos & Eldes. Citadark Isle randomly having 3 checkpoints within a few battles of eachother just feels weird. I wonder if we'll end up getting a challenge like this for Mystery Dungeon?

I didn't notice this the first time I watched this video but there are two Pokémon in Gale of Darkness that can evolve via Leaf Stone; the Seedot Line & the Weepinbell Line. The issue is that there's only one Leaf Stone in the game, so if anyone attempted to do the Professor Oak Challenge (or a variation of it?), they'd have to choose one or the other?

Actually it's the first visit you have to persist through battles and only up to 3 battles til your first talk with Vander. After that your party gets healed between every battle in Mt. Battle.

I played up until Gen III, with all the games including the GameCube ones. Then I have not played at all, but watched a playthrough of XY and after that Gen V and Gen IV. Watched Gen VII on release and finally bought a Switch and Shield to play a game myself again. Gen VIII does not seem the best generation to get into it again, but I still love the collection aspect (was almost done on Ruby with just some rare legendaries missing). I also play Rumble Rush and Shuffle on my mobile phone. Collecting is still as much fun as it has always been, and I really want to try a Professor Oak Challenge one day. Challenge videos are currently my main Pokémon content to enjoy.

6:20 I want to know who the hell thought that was a suitable reward for that climb. At least make them Shiny it’s not like this was the only place to get Johto starters in Gen 3. You got all of the second stage in colosseum and got to pick one in Emerald for completing the Hoenn dex if I recall correctly. Yes they know the hyper beam variants but less than 2 years later Gen 4 would start and ALL the starters had access to those moves. Speaking of Pokémon obtainable. I find it weird there isn’t a Shadow Chimecho in either game. Not many people would own it given it only has a 2% encounter rate in a single location of Hoenn. Plus it’s levitate ability would mean for once it’s not completely outclassed

Chimecho was the last non-legendary I got in Ruby. I did not even encounter a trainer one and had no internet access back then, so I had no idea where to even look for it. Feebas was a pain but I knew the correct route at least and got it eventually by pure luck, not even knowing how difficult it is to obtain. Still, finally finding Chimecho was such an ecstatic moment in my Pokémon history that it is to this day one of my absolute favourites. And Chingling is one of my favourite Gen IV additions.

I am currently doing a new playthrough of XD: Gale of Darkness with the following team Flareon (I have used this on previous playthroughs) Sharpedo Dusclops will be switched for Banette Electabuzz Aggron Xatu I had no idea that it was possible to beat Mount Battle before completing the game I do use it for alot of training and you also failed to mention that you can obtain the Earth Ribbon if you defeat Mount Battle without changing your team. I used Sandslash on my previous playthrough as my Ground type it was the first time in any Pokemon game I have ever raised a Sandshrew and evolved it and I enjoyed training it. Seel & Shellder are the only two Water Pokemon in the game that know Surf and on my previous playthrough I raised Shellder and evolved it into Cloyster using a Water Stone. I highly recommend using Spinarak as it knows Signal Beam and when you evolve it into Ariados it becomes quite a vital member of the team I know Ariados gets alot negativity but in XD: Gale of Darkness and Colosseum its extremely useful but the best Poison type in the game is Arbok. Ninetales is an excellent choice for a Fire type I have used Growlithe/Arcanine, Houndour/Houndoom & Numel/Camerupt on previous playthroughs. Ampharos is by far the best Electric type in the game if you don't evolve Eevee into Jolteon.

Ho-oh is the leader of the Legendary Dogs, and you get Ho-oh and the dogs in Colosseum, so since you get Lugia in this game, which is the leader of the Legendary Birds, it makes sense you get the birds in this game as well... even though they were already obtainable via FireRed and LeafGreen... Yeah, that's really the *only* reason he has them.

I like to see some challenges there I even tried to beat 1 training course just by using level 1 sync pairs XD although it's from the easiest level but who knows I think you can come up with some interesting challenges there using some sync pairs. I may try to beat some battles with just 1 sync pair used someday & just so you know the battles are triple battles.
