@@ChaoticMeatballTV basically it works like this, if you have a master ball and a poke ball, you use the master ball on the first pokemon's turn, then you sort the Pokeball into the master ball slot with the second pokemon, then you can have it do an action the master ball will be used and no master ball or Pokeball is lost, saves a ton of money for health items as it is, well, unlimited balls. actually playing colosseum with this exploit, not very far in yet but it's fun knowing that I have all the time in the world to catch that entei

It doesn’t allow you to catch more Pokémon than you would otherwise, it just saves time and money buying Pokéballs (and a lot of time otherwise taken by failed catching attempts once you get the Master Ball).

You could've used the Master Ball as often as you pleased, or any ball for that matter. Just use the ball with the first Pokemon and move the used ball to the place of another ball in the bag. That way, no ball will be removed.

I've gotta disagree as far as this game needing to be put off until later generations the story was solid aside from the names and I really liked the concept of catching others pokemon to use in battle and the shadow pokemon Ark as a whole should have been continued (no pokemon go doesn't count although I do appreciate the nood they tossed to it in the app aside from team rocket having the shadows)

I love those games. They still look beautiful and unique, but otherwise, they did not age well, unfortunately. The pacing is quite bad, for example. I really hope we will one day get another one of these or a remake. Some of the music in particular is amazing.

@@bitzibaerlieL take. I’ve never found the pacing in these games to be bad, and have found them fun the whole way through in the numerous times i’ve played them. I think they’ve aged beautifully and are some of the best pokemon games around, much better than the ones released in recent years.

@@thedecider4755 I unfortunately cannot find my old copies. Just judging from KZbin content; have not played them in ages. Also, "pacing" was the wrong word. I was more thinking about battles taking quite long. As I said, I do love the games. Some gameplay elements like the Battle CDs and Bingo Cards are unique to this day. My main gripes are the lack of a physical/special splits and some Pokémon getting shafted by learn sets. But I love the setting, the story, the Gen IV teasers, the shadow Pokémon mechanic, the cast of unique characters. I will take slow battles any time over those f*cking Tera Raids.

Just in case anyway was wondering. In dolphin emulator there is a setting in my experience that i had to change to get lag to stop in pokemon xd and pokemon colosseum. Go to your graphics settings. Under the hacks tab texture cache you will see a slider. CAREFUL. Ive learned this is very... Touchy when you mess with it. From what I learned is left side more garbled text but better fps. Right side fixed garbled text but in some cases like purification kills your fps. If anyone needs clarification ask away. Hope this can help someone.

Here's something that could've made your run easier, there's a glitch in Colosseum (that was patched in XD) where you select a PokeBall with one Pokemon, then with the next go back in your bag switch that PokeBalls position with the masterball and finish the turn, it allows you to have "infinite" masterball (or rather you use a masterball without losing it from your bag, that's how I did the end game)

Well done! Getting Ho-oh is one of the most difficult parts of Colosseum due to the fact you only get two chances to catch the Shadow Pokemon.

You have unlimited chances at getting Flaffy, Skiploom, Quagsire, Noctowl, Misdreavus, Slugma, & Furret because their trainers never leave Pyrite Town & are willing to have rematches if you leave Pyrite Town & come back. Meditite, Dunsparce, & Swablu's trainers can be challenged an unlimited number of times inside of Pyrite Cave. Sudowoodo, Entei, Suicune, Raikou, & Shuckle can be challenged as much as you want thanks to Deep Colosseum. Miltank, Absol, Houndoom, Tropius, Metagross, & Tyranitar can be infinitely challenged through returning to Realgam's Colosseum to experience the ending again. You have unlimited chances at 21 of the 48 Shadow Pokemon. I'm not sure about others.

@@lobsterp3821 Cipher Peons are complicated there's a point where the Cipher Peons stop dropping for rematches possibly as an oversight. You can't rematch Miror B's underlings after the 2nd Battle if you have already caught their Shadow Pokemon, although I don't know if they are like Fein & can keep being rematched until you snag their Shadow Pokemon. Gonzap leaves after the 2nd Battle (if you have already caught Skarmory) & I don't know if he can be battled a 3rd time if defeated there & Skarmory isn't snagged. Apparently the Under Subway Trainers can keep getting rematched in Team Snagem Hideout & you should have unlimited chances at Smeargle & Ursaring as well. I don't know how you get 2nd & 3rd Chances at Johto Starters, other than the 1 rematch in Realgam Tower of whoever you defeated in Phenac City. Someone really needs to do a challenge where they don't snag Shadow Pokemon to see what happens in Colosseum. I'm curious how the postgame would playout & who can keep getting battled until their Shadow Pokemon are snagged. Someone who understands the code of the game could probably answer these questions though. For some reason I'm guessing that you may not be able to progress through the postgame story unless certain Pokemon get snagged.

Kecleon isn’t possible until the end game became the recruitment rate is negative and the value means you need to have 100 and a friend bow. A little foggy about the specifics of pmd1 v pmd2, but I believe in 2 the Pokémon also has to be a specific list of Pokémon that has an ability that lets you get more friends.

I started a new playthrough the other day, and Stantler and Gligar gave me a bigger pain than Entei and Suicune did. Both Entei and Suicune I got between 14 pokeballs. Gligar KO'd itself after 6 throws, only shaking twice, once. And Stantler shook twice, once after 10 throws and then KO'd ITSELF! So I had to reset and will try again later.

Gonna assume you didnt know about this, but theres a pokeball amount glitch in this game. It's a bug that allows you to use the pokeball slot inventory while using the catch rate of another ball in the bag. After you unlock the masterball from eagun every catch rate is essentially guaranteed as long as you can afford pokeballs. I'm sure it would've made the rest of the journey finishing the DeX much faster and easier. Great video!

You play as a guy from group 2 who stole the snag machine and blew up their base as you left. The shadow Pokémon were distributed so you have to go around and catch them and purify them back to normal

I'd love to buy this game one day (I've read it runs on the Wii as well), but I want to know if the price Pokémon are worth it first. Is there any notion in the stats that the Ho-oh is from XD? I like to have my pokemin from their original region for example.

ChaoticMeatball While it’s your pokemon turn, you choose to use Master Ball with your first pokemon instead of choosing a move. When it’s time to choose a move for your second pokemon, go to your bag and switch slot of Master Ball with another pokeball using the Switch (X or Y button). Exit bag and do whatever you like with the second pokemon. That will not consume Master Ball at all and can be used over and over again
