I had to giggle. The gold frame of the mirror is too much but the painting is not. For me it’s the painting against that particular wallpaper. I do like the chest without a mirror. How fun to be able to choose between so many beautiful and varied pieces.

I watch a beautiful lady that has a fox rescue and cats are not usually prey for foxes, they tend to avoid each other if not the cat chasing the fox if you can believe it. As far as Thor goes he’s just too big because foxes aren’t that big. Foxes are very different than having coyotes or wolves or even those darn vultures.

@@mommashawna707 I would tend to agree, but a few monts ago at a chateau not too far away a fox took off with a great big Tom Turkey 🦃, so although maybe Ruby or Thor might be a challenge for a fox, the Peahens and younger Peacocks might be a juicy morsel for a seasoned vixen with a family to feed. Someone mentioned geese🪿in a post. They make an excellent alarm system and no fox would be foolish enough to take on a grown goose. A lot of farms keep them for that purpose.

I'm thinking that b/c the pattern is bold in color and pattern, subtle pieces and a bit of restraint will make it look more refined. I'm wondering if a silver framed mirror will complement the space better or even a venetian style mirror, b/c it doesn't have a frame. I'm not a minimalist, but in this case, I think less will be more visually appealing.

A mirror without a frame or a blue frame or white frame to make the room look larger. Dads painting maybe not in the room. The wallpaper dominates so everything else should be less not more. A rug nice but one color like blue or white beige? I love the room with the yellow curtains. So fun to decorate. The mirror will reflect the other wall so keep in mind how it will look. Have fun!

I would be very disappointed if the chapel work stopped. The restoration work done to date has been glorious every step of the way. I do love it looking as vibrant now as the original artists chose it to be - very vibrant.

I know it's running the tab higher than anticipated. If they stop for a couple of years, then they can finish it later. It might be draining the budget and the pros may have underestimated what it takes to get the whole thing done. I like the Leonardo print in the room between the beds, it calms the wallpaper with its negative space. If you do a mirror, I think an arched top or oval mirror would be better, to bring balance with all of the straight lines in the room.

It would be nice to have a placard made with the names of every Artist, who restored the chapel. The Stain glass Artist and the Artists who painted the inside design could write their signature in their own handwriting and then it could be transferred to a placard. Just like any Artist, who signs their name on the canvas, they too could be recognized for their artistic work. Just a thought. I don’t know if this is a good idea or a bad one.❤

The bedroom looked really pretty much better without the mirrow. Personally I felt a mirrrow was too heavy in between beds. Probably better on the opposite wall. F/chips looked good. ❤

Before work started on the chapel, I won't lie, I was aghast about the plan to make it 'as good as new'! I wanted to maintain its old and battered beauty, albeit with whatever repairs were needed to halt further deterioration. However, now I find myself agreeing with you 1,000%! There are many buildings which have that crumbling antique beauty, not so many which have been restored. So given that you now have the means to recreate the chapel, I think you made the right decision. Thank you for the video!

The room needs a chair and ottoman in the corner where you put the half round table, that would be a welcoming spot to relax! If you leave so many knick knacks sitting on the furniture you don't leave any space for your guests to set their things. Consider a solid color for the bedspreads instead of any loud patterns, something that will compliment the wallpaper and unlike many others I do like the wallpaper and would like to see you enhance it instead of competing with it!!!

The chapel is a wonder, and nothings to much... Let it shine I say! I must admit as a chef I to am impressed with the new work surface. The bedroom is coming along beautifully really, and yes some things will evolve on their own in time. Blue and white you cant literally go wrong. And yes, Your fathers beautiful vibrant art work is far to energetic and the wrong colour for the room, its not restful when looking at it from the beds. It needs to be in a bigger space where it can be the main event as its jarring with everything else.

If I were a tourist, viewing your chapel, I would want to see it as it was first painted. Here in England they make the mistake of leaving everything in its shabby faded state (original), and I have to say I often feel unimpressed and slightly disappointed. What one wants to see is the impressive beauty of the original look, what the original people 400-500 years ago could do - one wants to feel uplifted and impressed. You can always mount a few photos of how it was before the work was done.

I would try keeping father’s painting & adding lemon yellow little curtains and lemon lampshades perhaps. I liked the color of the curtains in the photo of your study. Anyway, yellow as a highlight color, then the room will have 2 of the colors in the painting. I’d remove the picture over the dresser/comode.

My suggestions for the bedroom: a rug between the two beds, shelves built into that small alcove (where clothes used to be) for shoes, books, etc, and removing your father's painting (sorry, it really doesn't work there) and instead a mirrored wardrobe opposite the beds, for clothes, shoes, suitcase, bits.
