Nick! I don't think these songs are Jodi's cup of tea. His discography is quite diverse and as much as we love these classics, not everybody is fond of them. You should try some of Atif's slow and melodious songs for her. I am sure she will like them. Suggestions include Kuch is tarah, Paniyon sa, O saathi, Dil diya gallan, Aadat (original), Wo lamhe (original), Tuu jaane na, Tera hone laga hoon

I think first impressions are everything and maybe starting her off with his more recent stuff that feature his "rap-style" singing might've not been a good idea. I say, don't give up just yet. He has quite a varied and diverse discography. He has angsty songs from his short-lived band days to sweeter and poppier Bollywood days, to more experimental Coke Studio and solo projects. If she doesn't come around by #10, then give up. Try "Woh Lamhe" from the movie "Zeher" and "Tere Bin" from "Bas Ek Pal".

Interestingly, Jodi is a lyrics' person and Atif's songs are very lyrics heavy but everything gets lost in translation. Understanding the language is a must for lyrics, so not her fault. Fun fact: Atif has a fandom across South Asia and it's called Aadeez!

His Bollywood stuff is better like Rang Jo Lagyo from the movie Ramaiya Vastaviya or Piya o re Piya from the movie Tere naal love hogya. His voice is front and centre there and shows more of his range and beautiful tones in his voice and best showcase of him hitting gorgeous high notes

I don't think this is for you honestly. Idk who even recommends you this stuff. I know it's a good song but you guys clearly are not into it and there's nothing wrong with it. I like older Coke Studio songs as well like Garaj Baras by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Saari Raat by Noori, Kuch hai by Mizraab, Mahi Ve by Josh and Shafqat Amanat Ali. Nick, apart from Go which has a very mainstream music vibe to it, all the other three songs you chose for her were really not for her and they are literally not for everyone. Rohail Hayat's music has a very indie touch to it and it never appeals the masses, hence they are such underrated gems and I am pretty happy with it. Channa and this one is by Rohail Hayat and Sajan Das na was probably the most different song of the CS 14 so all together you have literally chosen all the very different songs of Atif which even not every Atif fan would listen. But I think she isn't a fan of his voice or tone too so I think giving up is the only option. We can't like everything hahaha. It is okay:)

Charkha Nolakha is a beautiful song, but doesn't really showcase Atif's range as a singer. I suggest you react to 'Piya O Re Piya', 'Tu Jaane Na' or 'Le Ja Tu Mujhe'. I bet she'll like them. Tu Jaane Na is an all timer in the Indian movie industry, while you see him hit really beautiful notes in Piya O Re Piya & Le Ja Tu Mujhe'.

I think you should give up on convincing Jodi about Atif. Atif Aslam has a very unique voice. Most people find it pleasing because of its uniqueness but it might not be appealing to Jodi for the same reason. Also this is more of a traditional style of music so people outside of the region who're not familiar with it might not instantly like it.
