@That_AMC_Guy3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that part looked really odd. Obviously, broke the steering and control arm but good. Obviously an accident left in the film. But what was the original intention? Was the stunt driver supposed to launch the car off that stack of railroad ties?? That little section stands out as one painful blooper in an otherwise well-choreographed car chase.

A very rare Dodge L 600 / L 700 straight truck at the very beginning . It closely resembles the much smaller Dodge A 100 light duty series . The L series were produced from 1967 - 1971 in the US and Canada where they were called Fargo trucks .

That ramp at 2:17 through the glass was risky since the car had to land and then make a turn out of the parking lot with a parked car in the path. If the landing damaged the car it might not be able to turn at all and thus plow straight into the car. As it were, it appears it may have still not fully made the turn without colliding since they cut the shot. This was a fantastic chase and made a not so cool Plymouth sedan actually look pretty muscular. I remember the first time I heard this on TV at home. I heard what sounded like a chase so I went in the room and watched it. Then looked it up in the guide so I could try to record it next time it aired.
@muffs55mercury614 жыл бұрын
Virtually all of those Plymouths were retired from fleets by 1973. About 30 were destroyed in "Gone In 60 Seconds" which came out the next year. You could buy one at an auction for $300 or even less back then.
