My daughter, who now has children a couple of years from my age when I first heard it, was looking for a song from one of the John Hughes' movies. After rattling off the obvious ones that weren't the one she was looking for, I went on a deeper dive and finally found this gem!! Oh, this song gives me all the feels! I remember seeing him in the 80's as a teen and was IN LOVE with his music and style. He is still as talented as ever and still easy on the eyes.

He was scheduled to come to a hole in the wall called Iroquois in Roanoke, Va back in the day. A bar/young spot, underage drinking and all that. Being a high schooler at the time it was a great place to be. Lots and lots of bands, pool tables, chicks. [not meant to be derogatory in any way]. Had a ticket. and it was cancelled. I'm still sad about that........ Man O Man. The 80's!

I’m 49 and this is one of my favorite songs of all times! He was SIXTEEN when he put this song out! Are you kidding me? Who is this talented at 16? I really wish he would have continued further into his music career! Love the song, Impressed also! He was and still is one talented musician! Also HOT!!!

I love this song as much as I did when it was released (I was 10). I've been reading the comments about how he dislikes this. Let me offer some thought. As an artist, I feel that it is important to cherish your older works as well as your newer works. Looking back at the smallest thing you created promotes growth and progression. If you received something from it, then, it was worth something. The bonus is that someone else received something from it as well. He was and is extremely talented :)

Where the hell was I when this came out?!!!! First time hearing Sexton and I gotta say... so good. So good. The vocals and guitar, wow. Granted I was 10 back in 87’.

So short story, when Jimmy Barnes was sans Cold Chisel, one of his first gigs was in Brisbane, QLD at a pretty small venue. After he did the first set, he left to take a break and introduced Charlie Sexton(band guitarist) to fill the void and he played this song, which I had never heard before but thought it was fantastic but being a Jimmy Barnes concert, promptly forgot about it after that. Fast forward, I end up at a hotel in Austin, Tx for a footy tournament and they have an Austin Wall of Fame of artists that come from the area, and there is Charlie. With the advent of the internet I was able to reconnect with this song and enjoy all over again.
