Will have a couple more videos on what happened and getting it fixed in the upcoming weeks when I get it edited. This was north of 10k in parts! New trans, clutch kit, Bell housing, clutch fork, slave cylinder hose, U-joint, air bag, and leveling valve for front axle, oil for trans, Overnight freight on a couple things, probably forgetting a few things. Wrecker damaged air bag because had to lift front of truck in order to get it high enough to get the lift under the axle. Not the wrecker drivers fault, wasn't much other way to do it. It's a crappy designed air bag that snaps in place and has plastic bottom. Leveling valve was old and brittle with plastic fittings and broke when I was changing the air bag... Very grateful this happened pretty close to home, I was 500 miles from home the day before, and I was heading 300 miles away when this happened. Still cost a thousand bucks for the Uber ride in the big peterbilt but could have been much worse!

I would pull the pan and the main caps and check the crank. Never seen clutch or transmission do that much damage to a bell housing but there a first time for everything.

I had the same transmission replaced in my 387 last September. Clutch, transmission, power divider sealed, U-joints, rear engine mounts and rear structure on my ISX sealed. All for $12.5k. You don't realize how bad a transmission shifts until you have a rebuilt one installed!

Oh boy… A man's got to do what a man's got to do. Good luck and keep us tuned. I had to deal with failed clutch a week ago. Paid $1100 for a 60 miles ride with a wrecker.

Yep, the wreckers have got it figured out. Mean while all the idiots with trucks bid the rates down so cheap you can't hardly even make a profit. Wreckers charge by the hour from time they leave their location until they return. As freight haulers we're expected to sit around for 4-5 hrs at shippers and receivers for free and haul the load so cheap you can hardly buy fuel.

Don’t start it dude I have no doubt you would make a great wrecker

I remember a song by Buzz Martin about a used log truck. Every now and then it comes up in my mind when something happens to my rig.

see if you can source the parts from LQK or have a shop that can source LQK parts if possible. I had a crack in my steer rim and my shop hooked me up with a aluminum rim for $250. brand new rim too from LQK. and I put new lug nuts and studs on the steer axle just for peace of mind since thats the only thing holding the wheel on.

Not good at all. Imagine dropping it off at a shop to get fixed $$$

yep, not only the cost, but the down time. Could be 2-3 weeks or more to get a repair like this done at some shops with long wait times, and you're still responsible for getting load to receiver in a timely manner, and you don't know the quality of work you might get, half the bolts missing, cross threaded etc. some shops will hire anyone that can pick up a wrench these days.

You may have bigger problems. I’ve seen this before and it’s caused by a broken crankshaft. Good luck.

@@LifeWithChasesounded terrible! Don't know if you've ever replaced the crank damper- if you do add the balancer like Pittsburgh Power recommends, Well worth it, way smoother. Got a rebuilt transmission last year about $3,850 from independent shop. A Weller reman is about 4,400 or so about year ago.
