Loved the review, especially the 5 axis representation of the class it sits in Just a small correction, the engine is based on the renowned 120 HP Daytona 675 that's been de-tuned, with a longer stroke, narrower bore and 67 different components down to 81 HP. Finally, the engine has 64 Nm / ~48 ft-lb torque, with 90% torque available throughout the power band, from 3600 rpm onwards, that's why the awesome grunt at the start line, but tapering power towards the top end. Please excuse if I come across as narcissistic, but as a nerd, just wanted to add info that would help out.

@@GoodBalak you're talking out of your ass, Triumph has two major triple designs, one is the newer dry cylinder liner ones used in the tiger 900 range and the current gen 765 street triple, the other is the wet cylinder liner used in the old daytona 675s. Trident 660 block's parent is the old wet cylinder liner one (bulkier and heavier but cheaper to manufacture), if you mean the block is different from 765 then it is but the original commenter isn't wrong in saying the 660 is based on 675's engine since there is no 675 that was ever constructed with dry cylinder liner

I bought mine Friday. I bought it over the MT07 BECAUSE of the modes, traction control etc. This is my first mid weight bike, my last was an r3 320, so a pretty big step up for me. I've already clocked in over 300miles since friday. I LOVE this bike. You feel at home on it. You flex your muscles and she wants to lean over. The brakes are NO joke. I personally think they are a little to aggressive for my taste. If ive had the ABS kick in, I couldn't tell that it did. And its been raining for the last 3 days in my area. If you're on the fence for a middle weight naked bike, the Trident is the way to go. Let me assure you as well, the audio DOES NOT do a good job of transcribing what the bike actually sounds like. It's so much better.

@@Voltomess age, sex, marital status, education, credit score, what color the vehicle is. Yes, I agree. It's dumb in an absolute rip-off.

What's conflicting is, it's £1000 difference between the trident and Street triple S.

In US this bike could be an interesting beginner option, the $8095 price represents decent value for money. In UK e.g. is massively overpriced, ~$9950 OTR. You can just go over the channel and buy it £650 cheaper in France or any other European country.
