OC Just got my 23 CFMoto SS not too long ago. First bike owned, and i love it. My pop has been having me practice on his Massimo Voger Bobber before the purchase was made and had about a week worth of seat time. Went on my first ride with him around the neighborhood and this bike is everything described. But very comfortable! So not much of an issue for me. Love that it's so lightweight, I was able to practice emergency swerving with ease and maneuver around manhole covers. This bike is very forgiving unlike my dad's, it's like riding a damn bucking bronco (but fun!) I'm quite used to the soft suspension feel from my car and tracking it so i can feel the difference in the feedback from the bike. My levers were also a little wobbly not so much as in the video but still had wiggle. All in all i feel very confident in this bike and plan to grow a lot on it and ride with my dad more.

OC gang!… iv had my 300ss for 2 years now, and the cons for me are the exact same, especially the riding position drives me crazy at times. But this little bike is so dope, and is currently my daily commuter. It is quick off stops, and I have no problem on the freeway. The gas savings is insane, which is a huge bonus. My current commute with my truck is normally about $220-$240/month, on the bike it’s usually around $22-$25/month 😂 it really is so much fun, and it looks and sounds great. Most people assume it’s a 600 until I tell them what it is.

As someone who owns a 22 300ss I absolutely love this bike! It’s a great beginner bike! As someone who’s been on dirt bikes the last few years, I will say going to the 450ss or even something a bit bigger would have been ideal. As this bike is great I do wish I had a bit more growing room, I’ve had my bike since the beginning of April 2024 and I’m at the point where I’m growing out of it, it’s a great commuter bike! I live in NJ and it eats the twisty roads but with the soft suspension it makes it difficult to ride it to its full potential and mine. Highly recommend for those who are wanting to learn how to ride but for those who have experience with bikes I would definitely go up in CC.

OC: CFMoto is killing it in the market right now. I started on a Ninja 250 nearly 15 years ago and I've not been on a 250cc to 300cc bike since. If I was starting out again I'd definitely go for a CFMoto but likely the 450SS. As I honestly think it'll end up being the better option for the majority of 1st time riders. I would just advise new riders to avoid the lie that is Kawasaki's new Ninja 500 as it's really a Ninja 450 and weights a noticeable difference over the Ninja 400 while having the same power.
@VinayKumar-db4qz8 ай бұрын
No they are not killing it, they launched CFMOTO three years ago in India, and I haven't seen even a single bike in the market, people don't buy them, they prefer Japanese bikes.

I currently own a CLX700 Sport, but have had liter bikes including a Ducati 1198, and even a Harley at one point. Your experience is showing when you start talking about feel and initial bite. Awesome only putting $12 a month in gas in it, it is nearly paying the payment in gas savings from my Ram, so of course I daily it for work. @Chaseontwowheels - With a cable controlled throttle, you adjust the free-play down to a small amount. This should be a very easy adjustment to make, reference the owner's manual. However, you do not want to completely remove the free play here. There should always be some small amount of free-play present with a cable controlled throttle. Same as with a clutch cable adjustment.

HUSQVARNA SVARTPILEN 401!!!! preferably a 2023 or older as the 2024 isnt as nice IMO and has a lower seat height. Really common complaint for riders about the svartpilen was the high seat height (~32.9 inches or 835mm) (hence why 2024 has a lower seat height) but im not super tall, only 5'11 32 inch inseam and I can pretty comfortably flat foot it. absolutely fantastic first bike, I wouldnt have any other 300-500cc class bike. 373cc Single cylinder gives great torque for city riding, and you can still easily get highway speeds (although you wont be doing super quick passes on highway or anything) plus the included quickshifter makes the thing so damn fun.
