The stairs and terrace look 1000x better power washed! There's a spray-on product other chateau have used for stone that kills all the mold, fungus, etc. like magic.

I am so glad you washed the steps. All that mold! The only problem is it needs something mixed with water like bleach, other château's have used it and there wasn't and damage to the stone and they were very happy with the results. This will allows you to see the spots that need new grouting.🇨🇦❤❤

Loved this video today! Yes, of course it looks better power-washed! And time lapses of power washing is always so satisfying. Your "pink mist" looks like flowering crabapple to my eye. Whatever it is, it could do with a nice prune of the dead branches after it's finished flowering. And big hearts ❤❤❤ for the 90-yr-old checking off a bucket list item!

Delightful to see the terrace power washed, and the rhododendrons cleared (my home state flower). How I'd love to enjoy a crepe fest at The Griff!

That whole woodland area will be bright with rhododendrons! You will love it! This is the time of of year to clear things out and clean up. The terrace and steps do look better! Our cats come running when the doorbell rings, knowing that whoever it is is there to see THEM!

A very satisfying episode--rhodies saved, balcony/stairs cleaned, electricity rate knocked down (maybe they adjusted it for you after you reported it but haven't told you?), and happy guests helping out then getting fed homemade crepes, plus fancy restaurant fare. :)

Hope you found some good leaf mold compost that you can use in your gardens. They will love it and offer so much organic nutrition. I'm jealous! Your Rhody's should rebound before winter. You won't regret the clean up. Great work in this video.

Bingly is sooooo adorable!! I just love watching him! 💙🥰🐶 And Rob….i beg to differ on your power washing statement. I think due to the possible slipping and aesthetics, you should do it every 6 months (depending on if it really needs it then) or at least every year. It looks amazing! 👍🏻😉🍷🙏

So much wood down now! There a soft wash chemical treatment for the algae and mold and it does look very much better! But this is how you get the mold in the house people are tracking it in from the dirty stoop into the house.

Just watched Journey to the chateau, Chateau de Colombe and someone recommended the palette framework for the stairs like you made so they made their own. I am sure the idea came from you. Helped them so much

Terrace definitely looks better to my eye. 👍 also, dont know how many psi that power washer is, but in NZ we can hire 2000psi ones, and they bring everything back like new! You guys are going so well and now that u are there full time, your going to charge ahead! Love your mission. 😊

I think you should apply an anti moss something 🙂very specific ... uhum and then put a sealant when dry ... it will stay nicer for longer time. But great job on the powerwash !
@deborahmeeker84136 ай бұрын
Rob try white vinegar on the steps. Let it work 2-3 days. Then spray it with a ratio of 1:10 bleach:water. Your steps will stay nice longer and dilution ratio is mild enough. Works great on showers also. Try a small test area if you’re worried.
@deborahmeeker84136 ай бұрын
Don’t know why bleach to water ratio didn’t text. It is one to ten. Mild but effective. Can’t believe all the work on the yard.

I wonder if a spray on product like Wet & Forget would be safe to use on the patio and outdoor steps to eliminate and control algae, mildew and or mold.

Looks like all the area you power wash needs to be treated with something to kill all mould etc. Is using lime a possibility? Like limewash paint? What historically or traditionally would have been used to maintain all the stone from mould etc?

Well perhaps you need a treatment for the steps to remove the moss?

Like a person does for headstones on graves?
@valslater30016 ай бұрын
A hack for moss removal is to spread biological washing powder over it and leave it for several hours to absorb and then power wash off.
