Use your dead leaves as compose for your garden! Burn the branches and use the ash in the garden too! Spring has sprung and using what you got can save you a lot of money. You can use buckets and raised beds which would make it easier for first time gardeners. Good luck! Marie from Eden, NC

They blocked up the vents in the wine cellar causing the damp . That is what you get when people who don't know what they're doing work on things.

Loved seeing the Gardner’s cottage, wine cave, and the morning room. I can see why morning room is next priority- great light and tons of potential and in the main house. Once you get walls patched and ready, might want to consider rolling on a water proofing paint before covering with plasterboard. Also may want to consider the water resistant board (in US used in bathrooms) versus drywall to avoid any future water infiltration/damp issues in the wall. Whenever you get some time, I would also consider moving all the stuff out of the Gardner’s cottage into the wine cave to get all the “stuff” in one place as long as it is dry. Keep up the great work!

It will take a lot of money to fix that gardens cottage up for someone to live in but using an outbuilding as a rental would help bring in income to supplement the costs of owning the chateau

I think a couple work away kids can make the clean up really chug a long and clearing out the gardeners cottage can save that structure. It's a valuable piece of real estate. Again, college high/school kids working to get this done will get the worst of it. Billy's Dad did a miracle with MP's Gardener's cottage, and if that can be brought back yours can too! Hopefully, things will be loosening up and you can get people in to work/stay and tick off some of this. The tree clear out was amazing. The gym looks very inviting.. that's a huge accomplishment. Great video

If the cherry picker control that is not working is a lever operation the lever is connected inside the main block to a bobbin with a couple of oil seals(most likely o rings )if one fails it will divert the oil back to the main tank hope this some help to you

Oh, save those leaves you sucked up and the tree debris. Shred the leaves by running them over with your lawn mower and use to top dress your vegetable beds or in your compost. That's free gold! And the morning room is going to be lovely! What wonderful light.

Great job with the gym and the tree cutting. So much lighter now. I enjoyed to see the gardeners cottage. Nice n'square the room. Could well imagine a cosy living-in-kitchen-room. One can see where the stairs went up... Would indeed be great to have it 'livable ' for a gardener ; )) at least in the summer time. Fascinating to me this chance to see The underneath of the cottage, Amazing 'tunnel' and wine cellar !! Thank you for showing us.

Great polytunnel structure definitely worth keeping just needs a new canopy. Looks like there’s compost bin/bins there too . Gardeners cottage just needs a sweep and it’s ready 😝. Actually the “ gardeners cottage “ with just a tidy up fix the floor and some benches will make a great potting shed. Talking of wood burners could you put one in the “ cottage shed/ potting shed” which would help keep it dry and also help with seed production!

I love how the past 2 vlogs you given us a more detail on the gardeners cottage layout and where it was in the property. I love seeing the layouts of the place, and the gardeners cottage is adorable and would be a great place for anyone to live in, work aways, gardener or rental, all great but also great cost to make it come to life again. But it's coming to, got the gym done and such a nice view that you love to go out. But the cleaning of the area behind chateau, up the steps, so, so, so cute, so pretty it will be and looking so good already. Definitely a sitting area at top of steps as you can see the gardeners cottage view. How neat is that cave or etc., Would that be a place for wood storing? Just loving the garden, outdoor work so much. I'm not even a gardener, but mainly as we've had such a hard winter, just looks exciting. Keep it up guys. Doing so good.

Great job on the exercise room and looking forward to seeing what you will do to the sitting room. Maybe you could call it the “Morning Salon” , “Summer Salon”, or whatever direction it faces for example, the “ West Salon”, “East Salon”, etc. Or Angelina had used the word “lounge”, so depending on what color you choose to paint the walls you could say the “Yellow Lounge”.....since it’s so sunny on that side. Just some thoughts....good luck and best wishes!!!

Have Billy come give u ideas I believe his gardeners cottage was in worse shape & now looks amazing... (Added) I'm sorry I commented before I saw the basement! Maybe u could put in a few (or a Bunch) dehumidifiers? Also pull the ivy off before it does more damage to the roof & walls. It continues to eat into the integrity & soon it will be even more work to fix. Just Thoughts. 🌹

Is plasterboard going to trap moisture the same way the fabric did? Is there any reason you're not just filling in the voids in the crumbling plaster and then skim-coating it?
