Make a template of the quarterround that you need and can not find with silicone. Length, width ,etc. then find a planer and plain some yourself from regular 1x or 2x wood or take the mold to the hardware store to cut the pieces for you or take a piece in to be duplicated and have them make it ask cost first of course. Simply buying the router bits and planing them yourself would be cheaper. Walls are a Buttery Yellow and will give you years of Bright, Beautiful Salon time. Warmth important to draw moisture and dry everything. 100 year old walls have nasty surprises at times. Sport enthusiasts too!

It was fun to learn a little about what you like to do in your off hours. My dad was a badminton champion in his youth so I've enjoyed playing it as well. It's a great sport!

A question my dear, do you use water based paint or oil based paint for the woodwork ? And do you have a preference for paint suppliers ? I also live in France. I just reveived my samples of F&B for the hallway but I am still shaky about the quality of their paint versus Little Greene or Bulmer. Hugs xxx

Always oil based for wood; it’s a habit from my very old wooden boat but the oils soak into the wood and help preserve it

@@ChateauLife Thank you, it did seem to be going on like oil. I moved into this huge old house (Dordogne) with lots of bare wood and even the painted doors etc are made to look like wood grain, dates from years ago but I think it's more dated than charming, dark and smokey so I want to paint it all in a dirty white satin. I'm sure that it was all done in oils so I would have to use oils too otherwise it would all peel off sooner or later and the idea of doing it over, no way ! Hugs xxx
