I'm one of MS_Paints Ewoks, so I thought this would be an ideal video to put on in the background to get my Legionary Kill Team finished. It was so engaging that I ended up painting the grand sum of fuck all. Daves attitude and charisma just kept on shining through, and this whole thing just felt like I was the 5th man at a pub table with a bunch of mates just chatting about everything and anything. Great stuff!

Vince's stuff is just fantastic. He doesn't just say what to do, but he actually talks about and shows *how* to do it - the physical movement of the brush, the little tricks and ways to think about how the paint and the model behaves. There's a vibe of "I know you're here watching because you're actively interested in this, so I'm not gonna condescend to you; I've done a lot of work breaking down and understanding why I do these things that have helped me win awards, and I'm doing this video because I love talking about and communicating those things as part of this craft that we all enjoy." Reminds me a lot of the (good) art professors I had at uni.

If you want a trashy but brilliant sci fi film, watch Hardware. Its basically an unofficial judge dredd film set in mega city one but without any Judges. Great killer robot film with lots of metal cameos like Lemmy

FYI Bartoline clean spirit is what i use to strip minis, its none toxic and water based. safe to use on plastics and resins

For any of the uk based people a product called Elbow Grease is the best acrylic paint stripper I have used. Pour into a container, drop in the figures and let soak for 20 mins or so and scrub with a soft toothbrush then let em have another soak, the paint just melts away and the solution is reusable for ages and it doesn't damage the mini. Also costs just £1.50 a litre from home bargains, B&M, pound land and pretty much everywhere. Works way way better than dettol and rinses off under water like soap.

It really good, I mainly use Biostrip because I can throw minis in and worry about them later but I do rate elbow grease.

New to podcast. Was very excited to watch this interview, whos idea was it to keep shouting out stupid words louder then anyone talking over people. Unless your a zoomer i physically and mentally do not understand this at all. Is they any way to watch this with out. in terms of X-Com style games, a few years ago Archon Studio produced a game called Chronicle X, its exactly that. Except it's set in the 80s. I don't know if they sell it direct from their store anymore but it can be found on eBay for reasonable prices. great minis.

I don't understand the temptation to respond to negative comments, especially here where the comment fields are some of the most positive I've ever seen on the internet. You'll get them on shorts because those appeal directly to short attention span people, who specifically want to see a skilled paint job done in ten seconds, not a tutorial. One more thing, if I write something that engages with the content and ask for specifics or do a request, I rarely get a response. If I write an off-hand comment or joke, I sometimes get thousands of likes, a 'heart/loved' or if it can in any way be interpreted as negative, a defensive response from the creator. It's okay to dismiss the negativity. Or if a person wants to be productive, not assume the worst of what that person wrote. People aren't always mean spirited, they just wrote something that could be interpreted in more than one way.
