YAY PAINTING! wow it's been so long since i've painted something!! this was truly really fun and freeing - it was exciting to kind of just. make something for the sake of making it, and going with the flow! like i said, i have the final piece hanging in our hallway and it looks so cute and i feel so proud when i walk by it :') it's a bit silly, cause it's a simple painting, but it feels good!! hope you enjoy this video. i love you lots!!

i love nice people that curse, does that even make sense? i love kind hearted people but i also don’t really trust people who don’t curse, it’s a perfect balance.
@bruhkent6895

It’s a common misconception that cursing makes you a bad person. I personally believe that cursing can be an outlet for stress. The only exception to this rule is if your cursing out someone. Otherwise I think if it makes you feel good, you should curse to your hearts content, and damn everyone else who dislikes it

This is really inspirational because I’m struggling with finding my art style. I’m having trouble trying things when drawing because I always think it’s not good enough and I’m an amateur. But I’m so glad you were able to get out of your slump. The painting is amazing! 😊

I feel you on the whole "Connor bought me a 12"x12" canvas and its TOO BIG and it GIVES ME ANXIETY" thing. Most of my drawings in my art lessons at school were these really detailed, tiny 4"x6" pieces. Then at the end of the year for the exam, I'm having to work on a piece of paper 4 times the size, which was just too big and too overwhelming.

I have recently been struggling to reawaken my creative juices. I love to write short stories, and have my whole life, but grad school has really zapped my creative spirit. I've been really frustrated with my lack of inspiration/motivation. I also recently got a sewing machine, and have been too scared to take on projects more complex than making a pin cushion or a scrunchie. So, I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate this video - it's inspiring me to tackle the fear of new projects, and do the creative things just to do them not to be *the next great american novel*. Your videos always make me want to get off the interwebs and make something! Sending love and light your way

you inspire me so much🥺 we have similar feelings towards art and perfectionism and the anxiety that comes with trying things outside your comfort zone and it's so comforting to hear someone else talk about it!! personally i'm trying to get back into art after being away from it for a few years now, and getting myself to sit down and put a pencil to paper (so to speak) is so challenging, mentally! i struggle with finding a medium and style because it feels like i'm doing things for the first time... so thank you for being honest in your struggles as an artist -- it reassures me that my feelings are valid💓

(but dont watch them yet i haven't found my footing still. that's if u were. well i guess u probably aren't okay anyway) anyway! i used to watch from the anxiety rambling days and any time u mentioned "oh gotta take my meds" my heart burst a little bc its like hey!! u know!! me too!!!! and like!!! ur here!!! and im here!!! and we're just taking meds and its okay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! idk i love u in a healthy distance-ful way.

I totally understand your drawing hiatus fears! I'm the same way. I always think once I do make something and I like it, it's the last time my hands will ever make something nice again, and I kind of just freeze for every future piece. Art and anxiety are fun :-D I loved your canvas though, super cute. And it's so freeing to work with other mediums. It gives you so much confidence, like you've conquered something new! >:-) hope everything went well at the dentist!

It's so great getting to see other artists work through brief periods of art block/not making art! I hope the painting conjures more ideas and keeps to momentum going! I also had a tip for gouache on canvas (if the bumpy texture is not ur vibe) Add 1-3 coats of gesso and sand it down (I do a wet sand using 400-600 grit sandpaper) It helps create a smoother surface to paint on, especially on materials like canvas or wooden panels! I used to do this for oil paintings and if you're able to get the hang of it, the canvas surface can be smooth like tile! Thank u once again for serotonin content 💖

Love the vibes of your videos. I find them very peaceful. Also, the reason you were getting those weird patches from the paint coming up was probably because there was too much water on the canvas. Goauche paint tends to need a lot of water (much like watercolour) and the canvas doesn't tend to respond well to that. I'm a traditional artist myself and I find gouache likes watercolour paper a lot more then canvas. Canvas works really well with acrylic and oils. Just my experience though. Painting still turned out lovely 😘
