Very nice. On a shaper you can make whatever you want. Just go for it.

Thanks Bernie, I’ve got an early 1900 Drummond Bros hand shaper, doubt I’ll be taking a 2.5mm cut with it. Cheers

All over it like a cheap suite Bernie . Rake to the top regardless if it is back or side rake & clearance every where else ! 👍

Nothing wrong with a cheap suite. LOL!

Thanks BC I was getting a little worried for the yoke on the deeper cut. That looks like a home brew clapper lifter, I think that would be of interest to use shaper owners if you could tell us a little bit about it and shoot a some footage. Thanks.

Hello Tony. The easy start to the cut helps with stress on the machine. The swarf box does all the groaning. I have earlier videos on the clapper lifter. it is great but limits tilting of the tool slide. BC.

Hello Grant. I have a few videos in my collection where I show it working. Check on KZbin.

Whats the title of the book you mention on shaper and lathe tools?
