Reading the forums, I was overwhelmed with info about the best approach for my situation. I was looking for a tech2 or equivalent solution to do crank relearn on a chevy truck. I heard good things about this VCX nano but the software side of it was making me nervous. Seeing your video has solidified my decision. As a thanks, I've purchased it through your affiliate link. If your are coming to this from windows 10 or 11 one trick is to install the tech2win and all other software first than install the VCX manager last. When I did that i didnt get any expired licenses

Kyle I agree as a diagnostic tool it's a great thing. I bought the vcx pro 3 in 1 and have used it on gm and ford/mazda. I have yet to try reprograming anything on my 2011 Silverado however have done throttle body idle relearn and crank relearn and both worked perfectly. Great job on all your content and you have been a tremendous help to me grasping hptuners and tuning in general. Thank you.

I spent hours trying to figure out only a small portion of what you covered in the first minute of the video. I'm rebuilding a couple 4L80e trannys and, while waiting for parts to arrive, thought I would explore tuning. On a side note, I have always wondered about the evolution of human intelligence. Good timing. I have been suffering a poor performing 99 GM Diesel. In two years I have yet to find anyone with proper equipment to work on this thing, other than the dealers here in Tampa. While I am a decent mechanic, if you can't talk to and adjust the computer, it doesn't matter. Bought a reman ecu, but it came blank. So I will definitely look this puppy up. And as for the dealers, I ain't about to pay them $200/hr.

Candi is not the USB interface. Candi is the hardware module that goes in a Tech2 to allow communications with Can Bus vehicles. It is emulated via software for Tech2Win.

Yes it supports passthru but is locked on GM platforms only. It will block you if you use it on other manufacturers websites or applications on the GM version of the vcx nano. It does work with cracked North American tis2000 program which has calibration files til 2008. I've configured it many times and programmed ecu calibration as well.

im selling my vxdiag. Its a common problem that on some cars especially european delivered there are a lot of bugs. It cant connect to all modules in my car like Infotainment or the Odometer. When im looking on live data of my engine my headlights are flashing, some weird fault codes are stored in the ECU and so on .. im rather using a Clone MDI. Cost double the price but it works as it should.

It's a combination of miles and cold starts with the problem fixed to clear a permanent. There is often a drive process you can do to try and hurry it along but it's not guaranteed.

I have one of these to diagnose my Brazilian 2004 Chevrolet Vectra. I had a hard time to make it work with all the control modules, because the VCX hardware cannot switch through the various pins used by the diagnostic connector. And it does not work with the KW82 Fast Init protocol (200 baud instead of 5 baud of slow init). I had to create an Arduino circuit and program to intercept the 5-baud address, send as 200-baud to the control module and switch back to the VCX.

It was designed and tested on the North American platform by allscanner . Your chevy is a German opel ( UK Vauxhall) very different implementation, many issues on the non NAO side of things, and don't work well on saabs either. Great job making it work.!

Just found this video and I have a 2017 chevy cruze I just installed factory fog lights. If I buy this VCX Nano on amazon can I use it to program the BCM to allow me to use the fog lights? I bought them and installed not knowing I need to bring to shop or dealer to use. dealer now wants 200-300 bucks.

With a GM suv, I did have to buy a professional live scan tool clone because it kept on breaking and throwing multiple codes. With japanese cars, I only needed the read only type to reset.

I am glad I found this video before I did attempt to purchase actual Gm Tech2 (even clone most likely). Now I am happy to own this VCX in my "must-have" toolkit. It works great on my Cadillac CTS 2003. Thank you! By the way, the VCX software disc is rubbish. The software was actually unable to install due corrupted files. Fortunately there was possible to download the latest (and older) software version from tool webpage.

I have reprogrammed before my 2010 TCM module via the online SPS programming TIS2web with the paid service using my VCXnano from Vxdiag. I have 2 work vans 2010 Chevy Express 4.8L and 2016 Chevy Express 4.8L. These vans if I recall correctly having the same engine, transmission, and everything. My main question is, would it be okay to look at DTCs and reset or relearn via the GDS2 application for a 2010? Supposedly, any vehicle before 2013 you need to use Tech2Win, but I selected 2014-2016 years on my GDS2 for my 2010 vehicle and all the modules populated along with DTCs and options to test the components. So basically, is it okay to use a gds2 2014+ vehicle type on a 2010 Chevrolet Express van?

Awesome video man, I am going to get one. I have a 2010 Camaro SS that I have had constant driver side window issues with. Frequently loses index and now it randomly gets stuck down, already replaced switch. I suspect the regulator and/or motor, but this will help. I know this is off topic but can we get a video on DOD/MDS delete? I have turned it off and found for both mopar and gm you get some weird rough running on the road at light throttle around 1400 rpm, not sure why, I assume it has something to do with torque management but not sure.

Great video. I am looking at a Tech2 or MDI for my shop. We have a few vehicles that require new EBCMs, which requires adjusting the tire size calibration, but none of my scan tools are capable of that. Do you know if this one can do that? If so, this may be my solution since it isn't on 8 month back order like MDI.

Any idea why mine crashes every time after I complete a command? For example: When I disabled tpms, it immediately crashed after setting it to disabled, but it still set it. Another example: After making it to a dash chime, i turned off the dash chime, and it crashed. Another: After telling it to roll down the window, it crashed after the window reached the bottom.

What could be the issue, if my nano communicates (and Tech2Win) with like xenon lamps, ncdc2015 gps radio, and a bunch of other systems, but not the engine :D not once.. nor airbag.. The main reason I got it is to diagnose my addon heater (eberspacher d3wz) through the cars OBD , but sometimes it does, sometimes nothing.. (2001 Opel omega B2 caravan 2.5 dti)

Hi Julio , no neither the real or clone MDI or the VCX support the Saab platform , you need a real or clone tech 2 or I believe the drewtech mongoose GM 2 can support the saab canbus for north American only Saab .

Yes all. Via Tech2win or GDS2 cracked versions are included. The setup can be a pain in the ass. As the instructions ain't that good. You must licence the vcx once it's installed, use version 1.6.X not 1.8

Mostly works well in my Cadillac STS but most of the body control modules won't communicate, for example any of the door modules, so I can't test the windows index or roll down the windows like this guy did.

Great video! Quick question in 2023 is this device still just as effective? Have a Chevy Astro van and I want to activate the fuel injectors to find out if they are bad. Fuel injectors are inside the intake manifold. Spider injectors. Will this device work for that? Been reading a lot of conflicting information about this and feel very confused about buying it.

Working on a 04 Chevy Aveo. I think that I accidentally activated the vats by using a remote start switch while I was setting the trimming and checking compression. The car started several times but it stalled. Now cranks but no start. Got fuel psi but no injector pulse. (Batt. pwr. Present @ the injectors). Bro, I bought this tool on your recommendation and the thing is an absolute nightmare to get working. Is there any way you can make a detailed installation video that shows the problems you had and how you overcame them? I have spent COUNTLESS hours on multiple computers trying to get this to work. The manufacturer finally got back to me after 4 days and informed me it only works on 32 bit Windows 7 systems... so I just got a fresh install and still can't get the licenses to update. What are you trying to do with it? Only the GDS2 portion needs 32 bit Windows 7, the tech 2 and SPS support will work on newer OS's

These devices kinda suck, but if you're only using it a few times, then I guess its a cheap way to get access to OEM diagnostics. But these devices are kinda erratic, a bit flakey and can be wonky at times. The Drew Tech / OPUS devices work so much better for this stuff, although a little more expensive.

Just discovered u kyle fantastic! I was just getting set up buying a laptop with win xp 2 communicate with a future tech2 purchase alas the vx diag who would hav known. U hav saved me heaps but will it work.with my new computer i brought?
