Good comparison. I wonder how the i7-3770 compares against the FX 8350 in 2020 at stock, especially after all the security patches for Intel chips across the last few years. If anyone did a benchmark, it would be nice to see. Obviously the Intel wins in single threaded ability still, but how do the 8 threads do in today's titles, and a look back over some older ones?

I have the i5-2500k for 8 years and want to upgrade now because i can feel that it gets to its maximum in games today with a 32 inch monitor with 144hz. I thought about I7-10700k for 350€ but then someone told me that the i7-3770 would be a 40% improvement and i wouldnt have to change my mainboard since the socket is the same. Would you recommend the 10700 or the 3770k?

This test doesn't really make much sense becqause the i5 7500 is an LGA 1151 and the 17 is an LGA 1155 so if someone was to want to change for whicheer performance you have stated in your video, they would have to change the whole MB

3Head comment. The whole point of this is that the i7 6700 or 7700 are incredibly expensive. The best price/performance CPU for LGA 1151 v1 boards (not 300 series) are modded laptop CPUs from China. The made a price/performance comparison. If you buy an office system of a newer generation with one of these, you're fucking yourself over. Newer systems have more proprietary parts (so no easy PSU upgrade) and no cheap E3 1240 v2 CPUs (i7 3770 equivalent for $25) to throw in. You're locked into a shitty platform, when you could've gotten better performance out of something older - that was the point.

It is doable. I did it for a time without a gpu. It’s mot ideal though, even getting an mid-level somewhat modern GPU would help you. I still use my 3770 today with an r9 380x. Super reliable cpu

@@VIAJERODELTIEMPOMX for less cpu demanding games yes the i5 6th gen will be slightly better yes only a small margin. But for cpu demanding games then i7 3rd gen is better. Why? I7 3rd gen is a upgraded version of i3 9100 in terms of performance but weaker than i3 10100. Well I'm talking about i3 correct? i3 8th gen and above are basically an i5 7th gen below 4 core 4 thread. But i3 10100 above is basically an equivalent of older gen i7 4 core 8 thread the newest i3 12100 is now the new budget king since it's faster than ryzen 9 processor but with fewer cores and thread it's fast the bottleneck will happen on games like MIR4 who utilize physical core over faster core.

You can stream on the i7, also edit and export videos faster, you can record gameplay, you can get better results on newer games

You should try going DDR3 2133 I tried CSGO on i5 6500 + RX 580 with DDR3-1600 = 100~120 FPS with micro stutter DDR3-1866 = 180~250FPS DDR3-2400 = Mobo doesnt support this DX DDR4-2400 = 200~300FPS FPS bumb also happened with R6 Seems like ram speed does matter in some games

@@CheapBastard he's CPU bottlenecked in CSGO - but not exactly. The CPU is running out of cache and has to utilize RAM heavily. So the latency of higher frequency/better timings makes a huge difference.

@@CheapBastard Generally speaking I manage to run most of the games on fairly decent settings with high fps... except a few titles like Tarkov and The Hunt Showdown.Newer, cpu heavy games tend to run a bit slower than expected.
