Hey Rose, maybe u can talk abt how you feel abt the diet at the end ( is it satiated, do u feel hungry, how much calories,..) so that we can try the diet according to our needs. I've been gaining weight as a vegan for 2 years + and I would love to try out other ppl's diet ☺️

I agree with Inversionary. I would suggest trying to replace at least a quarter of each meal (or just start with one meal a day) with non starchy vegetables, not cooked in oil. You don't want to crash diet or radically change to something you can't sustain because you will put the weight right back on. You want to make it a lifestyle change. Maybe try to include more whole food sources of fat and protein, and perhaps try a multivitamin and multimineral. Sometimes we overeat because our body is looking to get a missing micronutrient. In addition, if you eat out alot, you are often consuming alot of hidden calories in the form of added oils. In short, its as simple as calories in versus calories out. If you're in a caloric surplus, you will gain weight. Good luck to you!

start healthier eating habits 1) moving everyday 2) eating mostly whole foods 80% and 20% processed food 3) make balanced plates 1/2 veggies raw roasted or steamed with spices, 1/4 carbs like pasta, rice, grains, etc and 1/4 protein like beans, lentils, chickpea, tofu, tempeh, seitan etc 4)eat healthier snacks like hummus with veggies, soy yogurt with fruit and some granola, salad of fruit with a small handful of seed or nuts, a piece of homemade whole food cake with tea and pieces of fruit, nut butter with fruits, etc 5) Take at least 20 min to eat per meal by chewing 20 times per bites to help for the digestion and achieve satiety 6) ditch the sugary drinks for homemade fruit infused water, tea, water,etc 7) dont buy overpackaged process food and make a homemade version of it if you crave it 8) eat for breakfast porridge, soy yogurt with a small handfull of granola with a fruit, scramble tofu with piece of wholewheat bread and some roasted veggies etc. For healthy recipes i recommand cheaplazyvegan, madeleine olivia, rainbowplantlife, avantdegarde, lloyld lang on youtube , on insta fitgreenmind, herbifood, vegainsfood, veganfitnessinfo, madebyblitz, sweetotatosoul, the website eat this much is useful if you want to meal prep and eat enough calories and the vegan society website for nutrition tips.

If you drain and press your tofu FIRST, then add the marinade (Make enough so that you can submerge the tofu (Use extra water) and let it marinade a day in the fridge THEN freeze it, the tofu can absorb MORE of the marinade. It works really well. I have tofu in my freezer that is in vegan chicken stock, and vegan beef stock so it is ready to go when I need it. I also have some in soy/ginger/garlic marinade!! It is sooooo yummy and filled with flavor. I also have plain tofu, because I like it as is too!

I started adding chickpeas to my pulled jackfruit because of this :)

Hi! Rose, I tried the tofu steak last night and it was great! I didn't have all your ingredients so I substituted balsamic vinegar for mirin and apple cider vinegar for white wine vinegar, used 1 Tspn of demarara sugar instead of 3 Tbspn coconut sugar. So far so good. It cooked up really well and surprisingly looked just like yours. I served it with corn - brown rice Italian flat-ish pasta, then we each salted or added tamari as needed and it was GREAT!! The texture of it all was so good! All organic ingredients. My partner (the pasta maker) loved it too! We were both happily surprised at how good the meal was! Will cook it again. Thanks, Rose and modal friend! ❤️

Kip Kerrie is such a Dutch thing I would say. It’s considered a salad for sandwiches, but kip kerrie is also a curry-type dish. Then it’s chicken (or a substitute of course), pineapple and a yellow curry sauce with rice, haven’t eaten that in ages, but my mom used to make it when I was young. Might have to try it again (vegan!) any time soon!

LOL MATCHA TEA! Texting fast and or Auto correct? I also am a big herbal tea fan- my favorite is Tumeric Ginger Tea- use organic turmeric and organic fresh ginger and a little stevia- the Best!
@rellahaire99123 жыл бұрын
The larger the squash, the harder it is to cut. For any of the hard squashes, you can stab them a few times with a fork (so they don’t explode) for 2-3 minutes. Let cool for a few minutes, the you should be able to easily cut the squash. Then roast as you did before. Spaghetti squash absorbs flavors easily, so I would suggest trying adding a little of the marinade to the squash after roasting. I bet it will be awesome.

Definitely coffee. Teas give me the feeling of having my stomach acid rising to my throat or something, it's definitely a really unpleasant feeling in the back of my throat and my stomach gets quite upset. The only tea I could handle was some traditionally brewed ones I had in China (but only in small doses and not all of them) and there's a fermented Oolong tea from Taiwan my stomach can handle. Otherwise I have to stick to herbal teas and I usually only drink those when I'm sick and want the additional warmth and vapour.
