We freeze firm tofu, thaw, drain, and crumble, add apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, nut yeast, and basil. Then use it for a topping on our lasagna.

I have to try this! I’m not 100% plant based (yet, it’s a goal but health problems keep on popping up) but this sounds like a great way to get cottage cheese texture without cottage cheese.

This sounds so good! Is there a reason why the tofu is frozen before you use it?

If you can't get short grain rice or can't get brown short grain rice for your sushi you can mash the avocado instead of slicing it & mix it through the rice. That's what I do & it holds together well. Thanks for another awesome video Rose xx

Nice bunch of recipes. For anyone interested, I personally mix bread crumbs, nutritional yeast and some melted vegan butter and add that to the top of my lasagna or casserole. It browns up nicely and makes for a lovely crisp and somewhat cheesy topping.

Tip for tempeh - for those that think it tastes bitter at first, if u steam it for a few min before whatever recipe you are using it for, it takes out the botterness. you can steam it and then cook it however u were originally planning!

For the lasagna cook onion, mushrooms and pepper (any veg you like) in garlic then add a tin or 2, depending on how many you are cooking for, of tomatoes. use that as a tomato sauce instead of store bought you'll find it's much tastier. I definitely want to try the tofu paste you added. Looks yummy.
