It's not just the Beet harvest, grains, fruits and vegetable harvests need the same labor help. I worked the wheat, barley and canola harvest this year along with alfalfa and grass hay bailing. Kept me busy from May through to mid October.

Jody's openness about the money is super important and refreshing. Working (selectively) to live your life as you choose...yeah baby.

Bob, great informative video as always. I've watched you for just over a year and I'm so grateful to you. I bought my RV and I'm about to retire real soon, within 30 days. You inspired me and your videos and website have been a tremendous help. In your recent video on the Big Tent you showed some of the workkamping companies. I contacted one and applied for a spot and was just hired today for a camp host position May through September. All of this, thanks to you. With just a $1000 a month on Social Security, the camp host job will round out a comfortable life for me. Again, thanks to you. I'm looking forward to the RTR and I hope to meet you although I know from watching you that meeting folks is a tough proposition for you. God bless you for all you do for the community!

Ditto what Charile The Tuna says on the new journey Marie. I too recently began the "Odyssey" eight months ago. Heading to the RTR as well to gain knowledge and make new like minded friends. I had wrote Bob when I was starting out and his wisdom guided me to make the leap and boy am I every thankful. Bob is a good soul in my opion. God Bless us all!

Tony M I think there are probably thousands of us that are grateful to Bob. It's too bad that he is such an introvert and it bothers him to be in such groups. Because you know we all want to meet him and thank him and shake his hand. I hope it's not too tough on him at the RTR. I look forward to maybe meeting you Tony. Look for me when you get there I won't be hard to find. I'm in a very rare 1992 Ford Jamboree and it's only 18 ft. I don't know how many they made but there are very very few 18ft class C's. Best of luck.

Thank you for everything you do. I have three compressed vertebra but no one can tell by looking at me. I guess you could say I look normal. I can't stand for extended periods of time as well as other physical limitations. I'm still working amazingly enough but I hate my job. I hope to start a van build real soon so I can travel after I retire.

We thought about workcamping when were first decided to travel in a van. Instead, we were able to get jobs that allowed us to work remotely, but workcamping is definetly a great option. Great video!

18,000 or 19,000 is a fortune to many of us who don't draw 900 a month after a life time of hard work. Many are broke down body wise or sick now. We wish you both well but I am jealous, enjoy your life keep going. Thank you.

Wow Bob great info. We are on planning stages now to becoming a Nomad fulltime. We have a few things to get in order. 1 being a rig lol but a few other things that have to be addressed before leaving. Anywho what great info you gave & got from this lady. I was wondering about some of tge work camping jobs. We are in our mid 40s so yep we work & have to unfortunately, but this gave me alot of answers I was looking for. How much can we make - if its enough to live on - how hard it would be- would we get money also. So you gave a wealth of information to us. Thank you so much! I truely do appreciate the effort you put into these interviews to help us all know if we wanna do this its really easy. So I look forward to meeting you and Jamie and alit of the other UTube stars that I stalk on a regular basis, in a year or so. Right now we are dreaming from Florida and living vicariously thru u all. Much love & be safe & God bless

Awesome video Bob/Jody. One question on the national forest jobs. If you stay and actually get laid off, can you draw unemployment? Just curious.

I looked into this online. I Googled it and looked at several website s, then searched KZbin videos on other people's experiences. The job Jodi had was not so physically demanding yet there are some that are killer on the body the first few weeks. Do your research before getting into this bc the work can be extremely physically demanding for those who have to shovel.
