I remember first time I visited Cebu and back then there was a massive music venue like that called sunflower disco next to waterfront hotel and tonyo’s it was superb unfortunately didn’t stand the test of time due to the huge running costs .

Saw some videos that hinted the Cebu Carbon market redevelopment is starting up again after the dispute between the City and the Port halted it a couple of years ago. Remember seeing the plans and videos for it by the developer Megawide on youtube. Hope the developers can finally finish the renovation and rehabilitation of the market area. Have you heard or seen anything about it Rod?
@AmazingPhilippines118 күн бұрын
I hope that they can finish it too, but I don't have any news. I saw they are reclaiming a bit of sea and building another port for ferries on the south side of Pier 1. Someone told me it is called the Megawide terminal, but I often get wrong info from the people I ask.

@@AmazingPhilippines1 That Carbon Barracks food hall in front of the University is a temporary shack, it will be demolished and it will be relocated to Puso Village which will open soon, better vlog the PUSO village when it opens. the Carbon Market will finally start the permanent building construction the delay is because of Cebus f%%%k up politics, the Ex Mayor Tomas Osmena filed a case to stop Megawide from building in Carbon finally the SC ruled in favor of megawide, This new Mayor Garcia is pro business and decided to return the Sinulog to Funete, the suspended mayor Rama wanted it always in SRP in Seaside which nobody wants, its muddy, hot and there are barely any buildings there, maybe in 15-20 years it will be good to relocate to SRP when it will resemble like Pasay in Manila

Years ago on our initial vacations on Cebu from NZ, often times we stayed at Mango Park Hotel Rod, which suited us because of it's central location. We occasionally dined in the hotel restaurant, my wife and i and family being the only customers there. The stereo restaurant music was deafening forcing me to approach the staff requesting they turn the sound down, which they immediately complied. I formed an opinion, the loud music was for the benefit of the staff, not the customers. Regards, Sir Rod.
@AmazingPhilippines118 күн бұрын
Accurate conclusion Bob, the young staff in most places play what they want to hear as loud as they can. Crazy loud.

Nice video,looks like a great place to go.How much do your chiropractor friend charge ? I was trying to find out those prices along with physiotherapists and other health professionals. Maybe you can do a video on that soon
@AmazingPhilippines119 күн бұрын
Unlike a doctor consultation, he most often gives an "adjustment" and I think 2000 pesos/treatment or discount package prices available also.

Do you know what the beer prices were in there Rod? Thanks
@AmazingPhilippines118 күн бұрын
Pilsen was listed at 90P, SM light at 110P I think with imported beers a bit higher. Food and drink prices may be on their facebook site.

Before the pandemic, Mango Square was supposed to be on its way out. Now it looks like the area is getting revived (although not the way it was before as a red light district).

Sinulog party will makes this BAR very small place to celebrate the fiesta. Thousand to Millions of people is coming to Sinulog on Jan 19.
@AmazingPhilippines118 күн бұрын
Yes, another venue to celebrate. I think the mayor stated that there will be an alcohol ban on Sinulog day, Jan 19, but may be lifted at 10PM along the parade route. Things can change last minute. The 301 Ramos St Bar on Ramos st is far enough off of the parade route that they were open and serving in past years.
@Sugbofood18 күн бұрын
@AmazingPhilippines1 We can still drink beers and wine as long it is beyond 300 meters from the main parade route and solemn procession route. Happy together

its about time, i loved the i t park location and i also go to the social bar in the mall too. is there a fee for the vip section ?
@AmazingPhilippines118 күн бұрын
I agree Tobias. Not sure about the fee but probably some "consumable" fee involved.
