I hope it is a 1:8 twist. 1:7 is a joke twist rate only created for stabilizing Tracer rounds. Really hope it works well for Sig Sake.

pr4runner - thats funny. my FN 16" M4 with 1/7 twist shoots sub 3/8" 5-rd groups at 100 yds with Sig Sauer 77gr OTMs, 5/8" with Federal GMM 69gr OTMs and 15/16" with Norma tac .223 55gr JHPs. seems legit to me.

Red Car - i use the good stuff for firing groups almost exclusively. 90% of my shooting is done with the Norma tac .223 55 gr loads at 30 cents each. both my FNs fire perfect .000" 3-rd and sub 1/8" to 1/16" 5-rd groups at 25 yds with it and 3/4" to 1.125" 5-rd groups at 100 yds with it.

It's nice they have a budget option available and its nice they have di guns for those who want them. That said I'll stick with my 716 gen 2 and 516 patrol. Little heavier sure but they're piston which I like and they have better aftermarket hand guards. The one on this gun is just strangely built from the looks of it. Although the use of mlok is nice

The Tread hand guard has had excellent reviews by those in the know.

Lawren Downing you can swap the bcg, grip, muzzle device, charging handle. Only thing I see proprietary is the handguard which I’m sure there will be others who make one shortly.

There you go. Another option since the M&P is 1:7 which means it will shoot more accurately then the Sport II with light grain and since it isn’t a coated barrel it will wear faster but be slightly more accurate. So many people want coatings in their barrels but I know quite a few 3 gun guys who only shoot stainless and change out barrels every 10-20,000rds. Honestly most of these guns won’t see 3,000rds in their lifetime and almost nobody can outshoot even an entry level gun.

I get why people want the extras, many of my guns are dressed up like Barbies and their Dream House but I’ve taken up the new mantle of low end and medium end guns all get their value in ammo before I put any significant upgrades into them.

The hand guard feels great in hand. Nice and smooth and thin compared to bulky Sharp pic rails. A bit heavy but it’s well balanced.

Not a big AR guy but what exactly is wrong with the rifle? Looks to be in the M&P Sport II price range with free float and a decent muzzle device and a trick stock and grip, (I don’t like the A2 grip profile it fits me funny).
