I just jumped back to see your first video from 2018 and it was a surprise at how little Emma was then and how much she's grown. I have some grand nieces and a grand nephew back in California that I haven't seen in over 2 years and I'm so far away in Utah and not able to travel I don't know if I'll ever see them in person again and they are growing up so fast! One I've missed entirely because she's only a year old. That's not mentioning a sister, nephew, niece, friends, people I worked with for a decade. One other thing I've missed much more than I thought I would, the ocean and sailing. Yours and other boat channels I enjoy watching have been a great way to get the feel of being back out on the water. Thanks!

Hi Teal I hope you were not offended by my proposal. I want you to be seen as true professionals in the eyes of others in the Marina as well. There are many small things in life that make up the whole. I really appreciate your ability to rebuild a boat on all levels from plastic, equipment, spatial design, electrical installations and more. Teal I watched your video where you had the unpleasant task of clearing the salts and mineral buildup. I wanted to let you know that distilled white vinegar has just enough acidy to dissolve the buildup. The longer it can stay in contact with the sediments the better it will work, I use it to clean my toilet bowl and normally leave it to soak for 20-30 minutes. Don't know if that help you in any way but I wanted to pass it along.

Yeah for u all ..in Mexico,s sunny warm weather ...finally.. so glad you made it there safe by night...the best cat the best dog the best family .... I agree too that Emma would make the best veterinarian ... I always wanted to be one and even put in 6 years of college units but ended up a commercial refrig fixit guy. ...also glad to see teal up and we'll at or near the helm..my guess is Emma is now the captain and compass keeping watch... Also glad little compass is doing well, he is such a neat little gold schnauzer.. Lynh looks like she has the far away look in her eyes with the night camera filming again ..you definitely have my vote for the next 007 James bond leading girl....The weather may be uncomfortable at times teal so remember what I once said about you tearing out you ac unit if you need help with it let me know...there is a Utuber engineering sailboater guy who designed a simple 12 volt one ...it's works well and simple to put one in any room you would want one and work efficiently for the size of your aft cabins I would think. Have a cool time down in Mexico no pun intended..let us know how hot it gets on your cat teal ..I would be very interested to hear about the overall climate there .. stay cool and enjoy the waters.. you are finally there , I can't believe it . My guess is Emma will be fishing for something for Lynh to cook up as soon as you get there ..what a life ..welcome to Mexico. How would you say that in their language ...you definitely will pickup some Spanish now and who knows maybe even compass will learn to bark a bit of Spanish..just finished the episode and saw that Emma got her new violin and can't wait to hear shave and a haircut once more Emma ...I used to live with the world's best violinist family and was always blown away by it...I play an instrument but not a violin...you are gonna love having your new violin .. some Mexican built guitars have beautiful bass sounds.had a beautiful one that had that beautiful sound you look for..

Been watching from your beginning, great the trip is complete. Boat/house, looks to be is spectacular shape. Great job to you all. You have a lot to be proud of. Looks like it's time for a sit down plan your future show. Plan on going thru canal to join the Caribbean side, or turn west to make the Big cross??? Central & South America has great things to visit too. And your knowledge of Spanish will fit just fine.. For now, stay safe, and happy journeys. Let this be a nice educational stop..

Hi Kevin! We are just taking in the now for now. Lol I (Linh) would love to do the jump to the South Pacific as there is so much to explore, see and learn before eventually seeing the Caribbean. Y’all are masters of the shipshape and that is VERY good! Emma is turning into a beautiful young lady inside and out and her new smile is perfect. Be glad she is not exposed to all of the pure crap that goes on with teenagers in our public schools. She is one lucky girl to have parents like y’all. I know y’all had great years in Mexico before, but please be careful as many things have changed and not for the better. Best wishes from Blue Mountain Beach, Florida!

Prior to this journey on basik, Teal and I spent 3 1/2 years cruising the Baja coast, Sea of Cortez and mainland Mexico "gold coast" and absolutely love it. Our favorite will have to be La Paz as it is a great cruising hub and jump off point to most parts of this coast.

I'll watch along regardless but curious where you plan to head after MX, not sure if you have a "sailor's plan" or not, so here's my suggestion, head down the coast for Peru, from there Easter island, then Pitcairn, bum around French Polynesia and the Cook islands on your way to NZ, pop over to Australia for a bit then on to Indonesia, Malaysia and the Phillipines on the way to Vietnam. Of course you tell everyone you are "heading for Vietnam to visit family" but every sailor knows it's the journey not the destination 😀it really doesn't matter of it takes you till 2050 to get to Vietnam your still on your way there 🤣
@OnboardLifestyle2 жыл бұрын
That's the beauty of cruising,....our plans are written in the sand and we go where the wind takes us and places to explore. Hopefully things will be more open by the time we take the jump to the South Pacific. Cheers Dave!
