I have anchored twice on the north east tip of Cedros Island in Sea lion cove. We used that spot after leaving Turtle Bay to hide from strong Northwestern winds on the way back to the US. I like your location much better!

Fun fun fun in the sun is even more appreciated solving problems when they come up unexpectedly. Seaweed ....a small el problem compared to hitting stumps or logs at night off Washington coast. God bless you guys. Your videos are so enjoyable because there is humour scenery smiles food and nice people and doggie and skills and know how courage adventurers and lastly excellent edit and direction with creativity. There's a billion videos to watch or whatever activity a person can decide to do....so saying that with only so many hrs in a day...I gotta go back and watch some of your gem past adventurers that were missed.

Cruising Baja in the winter is wonderful. Wait till you get to Cabo, you will have Marlin and Sailfish hitting your bait. Yellow fin and Dorado will hit your lures all the way down. Much luck and hope that you have a wonderful time. For Sailfish and Marlin you will need some bigger lures of troll big mackerel bait fish and you could catch a 250 to 1000 pound Marlin or Swordfish. You are in the best Tuna fishing waters of the Americas right now!

Teal and sv basik honary crew .I stayed up late last night and went to the car races Saturday ...so i just now rewrote my comments to more of my liking for you all to hopefully enjoy while I still can hear the fish fryin in Linhs pan..just a little reminder to reread teals youthful new look and how he must have sea swallowed some of the Ponce de Leon water while chillin in mexican waters removing those dangerous clingons attacking him from below .... With no shots fired ,he single handily ripped them to pieces quietly while linh was getting some basik beàuty sleep for the next sports illustrated swimsuit edition... So everybody have fun till the next episode ...and what ever you do remember to remember to save up two rolls of pennies for them for sv basiks xmas present for all their high quality entertainment .. pretty cheap entertainment if you think about it for the many hours we watch their show they record for us... One price pays for them all and many more to come you can be sure..hard to beat that straight deal with such few 🌽 ers. Im gonna repeat it several times more for those who lke me who are getting up there a bit in age, but to all hopefully there may never be a need to is my little wish for you all this xmas..also don't forget to thank God for reminding us of his gift cause it will be here sooner than we all know if you happen to have forgot we all should know that..even compass knows it's only 20 days away now .. he said thanks to Emma and her new books he has learned to count as well as he can read and they have a good report they are gonna share with us after xmas about all the gifts they were able to buy thanks to us and that he even is thinking of buying a 🎻 unless Emma gives him her old one. He is anxious to challenge teal and Emma for bragging rights coming up soon in their next pi contest..I don't think he will ever let us forget it if he wins. He said he is tired of being the underdog and secretly has been counting how many pieces of kibble are in his 🐕 food bags and gonna make it his personal challenge to try as many new doggie treats as possible from now on cause he hasn't developed a taste for 🐟 yet. He said sorry but he is a 🐕 not a 🐈. Hey Emma is that all compass seems to 🌮 bout now ..compass is such the oppurtunist..... If he wins I bet he is off to doggie college. I can tell you all from what I've heard he is really blowing his horn about it now and he is surprisingly quite good at it except revely is way to early in the morning at 5 o'clock for the ears .but what a talented little 🐕 .... Good thing he didn't take up the drums. Compass has said he still has a lot to learn from teal before he gets his captains license so in the meantime he is just gonna relax and keep on dreaming of raising the sails and one day piloting sv basik like we wish we all could. But just somehow I bet he will get to do that before he ever let's us step aboard teals ship and try.. I wonder just how many of us would love to be lucky little compass for just one day on sv basik....we would be one very lucky 🐕... Teal , if we got the chance to just as long as we get more than one extra piece of kibble for a forgotten birthday we would all be able to forget all about it like good doggies do and probably be lucky to ever remember it by the next birthday anyway like I don't think compass may next time ..I will feel sorry for you then teal, its possible you may not have any fingers to cross or feed compass with. Compass said he wasn't going to bite the ✋ that feeds him anymore but I could tell he was really trying to hold himself back when he saw only one small kibble of food. I think you got lucky this time teal... I wouldn't push it if it was me , doggie bites hurt and compass has really sharp little teeth and I would hate to see him loose one ..he needs every little one he has to eat his favorite kibble. And least of all you certainly don't need an xtra one stuck in a place you would not be to happy about. Cheers here is to many more happy doggie birthdays for compass. Enjoy the 🌞 and the beautiful scenery , makes me want to just relax and breath in the breathtaking scenery.. I just went back over the kibble part you guys and I don't know how I missed that it was Emma not teal .. I must have blinked or sneezed but you are a lucky 🐕 m that compass loves you so much. And teal doesn't know just how much of a close call that could have been ...coming up minus a finger or two is typically unfortunate..Better let Emma keep feeding that little land shark those Happy time meals teal . Don't get old you can't blame everything on a forgetful memory...there is also bad vision and bad hearing that complement those little mistakes slash sneezes. Always good to use the remains for soup or stock or your next sessions bait... the blood smell in the water makes it far more efficient at attracting the next bite. Especially at night or in cloudy water. Would a line cutter keep your prop clear of Kelp? Hit by a whale😲🤦🏻‍♂️ and i was thinking about shark breeding grounds.😂🤷‍♂️

You mentioned you drifted 6 feet near the end of the video. You dove in to clear your fouled prop, would it be beneficial to dive the anchor too? I've seen some cruisers that appear to always dive their anchor, but I have to imagine water temp, depth and clarity would dictate. I'm trying to get a feel for the norm.

With the warmer water temperatures I will get a visual of our anchor at every anchorage. It gives me piece of mind seeing that Rocna buried in a nice clean sandy bottom.

Teal , when you came back to the sugar deck after a few minutes, it looked like you found the waters of Ponce de Leon .. I think the beginning leg of this huge stretch of Mexico's waters is just what the doctor ordered.. linh, you just have to dive in for a few minutes Its not that cold and you will be already for the sports illustrated swimsuit edition coming up..you are gonna look exactly like you did the last time you were there..... One question linh are you sure that was you teal took the pictures of back then cause you looked to have green eyes somehow. Ok teal anyone else in the picture you better come clean and have a real good excuse if so....we will not accept anything that sounds 🐟e . Be sure to be carefull swimming around out there , there is more than just honey 🐝 out there and always hungry...it's another reason for one of those safety pieces of gear sv basik needs for xmas is a spear gun honary crew members .hint hint.. i don't think we want to see teal to come up one leg shorter than the other, he looked like a pretty tasty sealion out there dog paddling around not quite as good as compass ,so i think we should all fill up compasses birthday bowl I mean birthday bowl hat with a dollar from each of us as the lucky lookouts who watch out for sv basik , kinda like compass does on watch even if he only gets one little tidbit for forgotten birthdays .. it's hard to be a 🐕 24 7 I don't think there is dog on the high seas that would stay on watch on his birthday for just a nibble of one small doggie kibble even if it is his favorite. We don't want emma diving in those kinds of waters unprotected ... we well know compass is her protection on land but I don't know how good a swimmer he is...he definitely is not afraid of anything and will become kinda ✋ y with a speargun and a little practice I bet... The thing to remember everyone when linh is on that cover of sports illustrated we will all be served by her in that swimsuit.....how can you put up an argument against hat. Just think of it as a tip for the meal youre gonna get and you will never miss that dollar. Besides that I heard Emma is going to play her new arrangement of an sv basik classic in sea minor that should tickle your ears and and make your hand reach out to compass who will be right there to nab it and promised not to bite as long as there is a dollar on the other side of it... So god father bless compass . You don't want to mess with compass when he has given you his word and an offer you can't refuse. Come to think about that I think he borrowed part of that don't mess with me line from linh too. . He is such a little oppurtunist and palagerist..... So wish happy 😁 happy holidays for sv basik .. we can make it even more special for them and for all of us at the same time for next to nothing..... A few thin dimes ,...two rolls of pennies.. one less gulp of coffee a day .. Compass said no sacrifice what so ever. Ps .lm sure everyone got the basik drift and wants to see sv basik go over the swells and through the waves to grandmother's 🏠 they go safely . Isn't that how the song goes. Compass said goodnight to all and added a very merry holiday wish right in there before he went to doggie dreamland , and I think I even overheard Emma's prayer to become the best violinist and wanted a shiney new electric 🎻 to play for xmas too. And then compass added he is just as special as any famous 🐕 and related to toto and that they are not in Kansas anymore but toto gave him the other slipper so he is gonna pass around a slightly chewed ruby red slipper for all donations and tips right after supper .. and if we are all real good for xmas he promised not to bite and to show us all the new tricks he learned from Emma and linh...I guess Emma taught him to walk on water. And he taught linh to swim. A couple of miracles , they have learned alot ever since they tied up the dingy to the front of the boat and compass is anxious to show us a few. If anybody missed what has got to be the funniest episode and what led up to it, I suggest to backtrack to that little track and catch up on teal tripping over the door he made for compass.. .. .. I'm sure teal won't mind. ps compass said he is accepting all xmas meals that suit his taste as long as they come in an Xtra big bag and say only for real oppurtunists , but with finickety taste. It doesn't seem fair to hold it too much against him since he can read so well. Said maybe one of these days he will jump up on the table when Linhs not there, kinda how he learned from Emma, to take a bite out out of linhs cooking and realize what he has been missing for so long, but, well that's probably another tasty little story and highly unlikely little morsel of one to swallow from the little guy but i'm not gonna argue with him about it. I'll leave that for anyone who feels brave enough to. I for one will just take his word for it. Remember there will be more of Linhs food left over for you if you loose that argument with compass so I would just let him rest on it for the night. He has another big day ahead of him tomorrow and you don't want him waking up cranky tired and hungry. You might even have to have a good case for Emma and her appetite too, she also is a growing little opportunist with an appetite for see food will eat .. or any sea food, will eat that too. Compass said u would hate to see what it's like for Emma to go hungry for too long. Said she gets meaner than a whole pack of hungry 🐕 s and not so friendly little piranha fishys with cute little crooked teethy smiles. I believe him, he said he witnessed it one too many times and had to close his eyes..said if you were still hungry for more to just forget about it and you would still have all ten fingers left that looked like fingers not fingerettes.. I take it u know how serious Emma is about food and seen how quick and accurate she is with a fork.. compass said you be better off taking your chances with the piranha. .. cause youll just might be a little bit luckier with the number of fingers left is my guess possibly enough left over to use for your next meal..

I wear that with a badge of honor-- so what have you done cupcake beside whine and collect money from others so we can view just the coast line. We have never touted that we are a Transocean sailing channel, we worked hard to reach our dream and very proud of our accomplishments. There are really three routes for cruising from Seattle. One is north to Glacier Bay, another offshore to Hawaii, and the third down the West coast to Mexico. Of the three, Mexico is the best long term cruising ground. It can also be a stepping off point to Central America and the canal, or the Marquesas and the south pacific. We are lucky that the crew of Basik is sharing their experience along this important route. I hope to follow in their footsteps in a few years, on my way to Portugal.

@@genewaddlerandomstuff2122 I'm so sorry for you... I came to get to know these guys and what story there telling, not to listen to music and watch unnarrated moving pictures. I didn't like it and I voiced my opinion, which I have every right to do. You just expressed yours, which you have every right to do. Feel better?
