They looked like they really hit it off. Linh takes water taxi. They celebrate long into the night…fireworks lasers…singers were quite good…This vid had everything INCLUDING the kitchen sink !!! I have been watching your videos for a very long time and enjoying the major, super professional, transformation of your boat. One quick comment from one that has had a dingy stolen, get a stainless steel chain and big lock to protect your dinghy while ashore, and don't eave it down at night without a secure chain. Been there done that and it's no fun being stranded ashore while your boat is being robbed using your dinghy. Have fun, wish we were doing that again.

One way to ensure the key doesn’t slide back is to use a punch and punch each side of the keyway to raise a small crater ensuring the key won’t slide back, or you can put a adjustable clamp just behind the key.

I like the idea of the epoxy to hold that sheer pin from slipping. There’s no rotational force on it, it’s just to hold the key in the keyway. Smart.

You know guys, every episode tou release im still impressed how Teals taken an old tires cat and not only transformed it into a boat that looks receintly produced by one of the major manufacturers but produced some high quality work. A true testament to his craftmanship. I was helping a fellow boat owner fix a few small issues with their monohull that cost quite literally millions and the fittings out of regular sight are pretty average, something I doubt I'd find in basik. (Teething issues aside). Enjoy the fruits of your labour guys

A lot of excitement enjoyed in this area you anchored in 'til the wee hours of the night. The sunsets are gorgeous! Some of the fish where you snorkeled had a pretty pale blue color. I felt bad for you Linh, as you kept loosing balance against those rough waves. It looked fun too. I dearly enjoy your videos, good to see Emma has friends her age, & Teal, found a new rod. A great rap up of the Bahia trip so far, for those who may have missed portions of your postings. I will be a great new year for you all. A family that sails together will build wonderful memories, that will last forever. Linh, get that cook book money maker out soon. We all will enjoy some cooking together. A suggestion, You might consider is as follows: extend you post with telling all your book buyers, to go to a certain page and cook a meal together. Just give them a week to buy the ingredients before meal preparation. You will pickup more females and sailing cookers for you posts. Just an idea 💡 from the Bear 🐻 🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Cabo at night is one huge party and the Mariachi bands go all night. Cabo San Jose is much quieter and calm especially if you want to sleep. It is a bit of a drive between, so going out to Cabo Wabo for a fun night when say Sammy Hagar is in town, is problematic. The advantage is you get to sleep!

@@222INFINITY I have friends who lost fortunes the last time Mexico nationalized the oil industry. Be aware of investing in Mexico. I believe they still do not allow foreign ownership of real estate. All you can do is lease, and leases can be broken.

Nice to see you made that port. Regarding your steering gear, as i said in a previous video cutting keyways is a machinists job. Those are keyways and key stock, not shear pins or woodruff keys. Keyways are cut on a mill by a machinist not a guy with an angle grinder. Keep a close eye on all of those grinding wheel cut keyways, they will all wobble out eventually.

No clue if you're still cruising Mexico, but if you are you might want to check out the KZbin channel of the cat doing The Best Ever Food Review Show, if only for some ideas on what kind of eats to check out while you're there. (I'm in no way affiliated with him, for whatever that's worth.) But proper, actual Mexican cuisine is some of the best food on the planet, I think. Up there with Thai, Vietnamese, French, Indian, and the like.

There should be no play between the keyway and the key. With luck, your fix will last forever. If it wiggles again look into a correct size key or re-machine all surfaces.
