The Adams sounded more flattering, but that might not be a good thing

I prefer the Adam speaker mix, sounded a bit more scooped and a little clearer to my ears. The mix with the Neumanns still sounds good though.

Hey;) I think the Adam mix sounds more harsh in the upper freq, maybe you just need to manually turn up the high freq EQ knob on the back of the Adam speakers to make sure your mixes don't turn out too bright/harsh? I think the Neumann mix sounds more balanced (listening in Slate VSX headphones).

Did you use the Neumann M1 mic calibration with the Neumann speakers?

No he didn’t ,u can tell by how he talking

I might be wrong but i think the indentation of the tweeter inhances the treble which is good for your reg home stereo but bad for a reference speaker. If it were me id just by a cheap one knob class d amp and bypass the amp on the speakers

My ears prefer the Adam’s mix, but you’ve had them for far longer so it doesn’t come as a surprise

Yeah that was my exact thought haha

Adam Mix is tighter, in the low mids, BUT for me there is more energy transferred in the Neumann mix and I like it more! However I wish there would be a middle ground between the two. The Neumann mix could use just slightly more tame low mids and the Adam mix could sound more powerfull in that exact region. The new Adam A series sounds great by the way, I did not mix just listenened to them.

I recently tried some a77h’s and they were sooo good , but way too big for my room I think one of the next ones I’ll try is the a8h

@@dravennoire those should be great as well. I really liked the a7v for how the bass sounded. Very punchy as well, with fast transients.

@@dravennoire How does the Adam A77H compare to the Neumann KH150? I currently have the A7V and am unsure if switching to the Neumann KH150 is a worthwhile investment, especially considering its double price. Have you tested the A8H? It's another contender for me.

@@UserGPT991 yeah I actually sent back the kh150s and went with the Adam a8h , if you like the Adam sound and have the space for them I highly recommend them also with the kh150s they need the matching sub to fully get the right picture so I would also consider that going from a7v to a8h would be a pretty decent upgrade , the a8h being three-way lets the mid range shine through! but they are large speakers and need space. i currently have mine about 57inches away in a equilateral triangle and feel they could use a little more space

Def the Neumans sounds better. The Adams sounds like it has a lot of holes on the midrange, sounds like a combfilter on it, which is technically pretty bad. or... maybe you aligned them bad so it sound out of phase?

Don't ever buy used loudspeakers, you don't wanna finish misplaced with the final mix. Namastè.

If you didn’t use Neumann ma-1 you are not getting the full Neumann experience

I used the arc studio , which is pretty similar! Really liked the kh150 but ended up going with a set of 3way speakers for the added mid transient clarity
