Appreciation for people like her, she's right, this shouldn't be happening and if people would just realise how we've all been screwed over by the establishment and the banksters maybe, then just maybe, people would co-operate and come together to stop this genocide once and for all. Our 'owners' love the age old game of weaken, divide, rule and conquer. Never think that this can't happen to you.

Lived on cheetham hill estate back in the day and cheetham hill road was great and it had everything you needed. The library was a beautiful building until they left it to turn into a ruin. Slowly the area disintegrated bit by bit. All the original shops have gone now and its now a predominately an asian /black area now. Sad how everywhere has turned to shit.

My mum and dad lived in Crumpsall after coming over from Ireland. They moved when I was maybe 3 or 4 to Prestwich. I spent quite a bit of time over the years in Cheetham Hill and when I was a kid, it was nice enough. I am 40 now. When the Irish moved out after they worked their way out to nicer areas, it all went to pot. I noticed it went really bad when the Polish and Ukrainian community pretty much scarpered. It is just full of absolute shanty's now disguised as shops. Who the hell is buying a dessert at 10pm on a Tuesday evening? Crappy porn brokers, kebab shops, dessert shops and fronts for drugs lol

Billy, you’re back to doing what you do best thank you. This is what we call proper content sadly with yesterday’s video I had to fast forward, your a decent man who loves to pass forward and help those less fortunate than ourselves. Please don’t take offence to what I’m going to say Iv seen the ladies of the street who you have talked to whose stories have touched me harder than these’s blokes that get so much air time. I fully agree with you that you want to help someone who helped you when you were on your knees, but please find someone who with take your help with open arms.

That estate you was on at the beginning used to be a major heroin dealing place. You would walk through and out of nowhere young lads say aged 15-18 would turn up on bmx bikes asking what you wanted drug wise. They were obviously doing drug runs for the drug gangs that were infamous in the 90’s. Cheetham hill road itself isn’t to bad. Just lots of shops mainly. But the estates on either side of Cheetham hill road are proper rough. As you obviously saw. Great to see places like the coffee place where homeless can get a hot drink and food and be given guidance towards their needs.

it annoys me that this nice lady is probably working for free, giving up her time, lookin after the homeless, yet charity bosses are earning 3 figures a year, driving big cars , and getting all the praise, this is why i never give to charity.,it lines other peoples pockets before it gets to where it should.

While I agree somewhat with your sentiment, bosses of charities have to paid somewhat competitively as you need someone with experience and ability to run them. For the job, they are actually paid way way less than other sectors that they could work in by some way. So often, you get charity bosses being guys that are nearing the end of their working life and want something less vigorous so to get them, you need to pay them that much. If you hire people at a way less salary, you don't get the best candidates and it would be a shit show. People don't do things for free at that level. That's just the reality of it really.

Once proud family homes converted into bedsits back in the 70s and 80s. I believe this kind of practice is becoming more common in the UK due to the housing shortage. Front gardens ripped up and paved over for parking. Back gardens built over with extentions and outbuildings. 🙄

you gave an added piquancy to "Scruffy Bastard"! My father came from Eire married my mother, but could not get a job, so he went into Strangeways. My Stepfather epitomised 'wicked'. It is he who ought to have been in Strangeways! Life certainly can be unfair! My father, whom I never knew became a regul visitor to Her Majesty! He went to Walton, too :( Later a cousin told me a lot of my backgrooud and it would have been ideal for me as a kid. I used to volunteer at Simon when it was on Shaw st L.p., I cannot praise enough, people like you and women like her!

It’s the small things like parking on the double yellow lines with no consequences is a sign of a declining society and country! This kind of thing was not tolerated 25 years ago in England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿! Broken windows theory in practice here!

It's always been hangin there. Back in the very early '80s, a lot of our punk friends lived up there and they lived in houses without bathrooms and the kitchen was a sink, tap and a table and there was always a pile of filthy washing on the floor. They were really clatty. I was too scared to go up there on my own. I only went if a lad would walk up there with me 😅

Classic Gothic institution "STRANGEWAYS" Prison is a eyesore . In Melbourne we had a infamous prison shut down , upgraded it to housing . It was depressing to have a prison in a suburb that was booming real estate 😊

We all need to come together some how create more safe hubs for people , even if they use drugs that doesn’t mean a person deep down is a bad or nasty person drugs really do ruin lives and bring out the devil inside of us all . The more I see the more I want too try to do Something to help . Drug users can become dangerous so it’s also about protecting our selves . I have to say billy you’re doing a great job mate and you are putting your self in danger daily . Well done mate. I don’t know what this worlds come to since I was a young child but we’re losing some of the best lads to drugs . ❤
