I have become a binge watcher of Chef Jean-Pierre videos. I love his passion and energy. I do most of the cooking in my house, and my wife just rolls her eyes at me when I am excited about the next recipe I am making. But then she brags to her friends about the meals I am preparing. I love learning new things, and Chef JP has been teaching me so much! This was a simple burger, but it looks elegant and delicious. I am going to break out my meat grinder and do it!

Found this channel because it popped up in my feed about 2 months ago. Watched a couple videos, got hooked and subscribed. Wife and I have tried several of his methods for making broth, using a strainer in the pot when making gravy, etc., all of which work fantastic. We love to cook and we love this guy!! Let me just say ....... I would pay good money to work with Chef Jean-Pierre, I'D PAY HIM! Not just for his knowledge but his happy, friendly demeanor and his sense of humor. I'm so worn out on the negative crap that has taken over our lives. This guy gives us a break and I can't express how much we appreciate that. We come home from work every Monday and Thursday, make a cocktail, bring up Jean-Pierre on our 85" big screen TV with Bose surround sound, kick back, relax and enjoy the show. THANK YOU CHEF!!

It's not to show off it's not to be overly extravagant it's not to stroke your own ego like some chefs, it's to teach people show them how easy it is and educate us your cooking students. 🥰🥰🥰 Merci beaucoup!!

The caramelized onion recipe is the best ever. I’ve learned to cool them on waxed/parchment paper then par-freeze only after they have cooled (thanks to the chef for clear direction in the recipe). Cut the sheet into 4 inch squares and freeze in vacuum sealed bags. Keep ‘me coming chef! We’ll keep watching, enjoying and eating!

I just make it back from Épernay, Champagne and had a burger at this tiny place there called "The Clock Face" and their burger was so perfect. It was the best burger I've had in my life so far. I'm telling you. The French know how to make any dish sing. This was just a burger. What was so special about it was that the meat in the burger was the star of the show. In most burgers I've had that were good in my opinion were good because the condiments, cheese, special sauces, bacon etc. put on the burger made it better. This burger in Épernay the items on the burger were the supporting cast and the meat was cooked to such perfection that it was the clear star of the show. It changed my outlook on how burgers should taste. This wasn't a restaurant that really stood out, no Michelin star no accolades that I'm aware of just a French pub vibe. The chef just knocked this out of the park. It was amazing.

Nice!! I like the Dijon mayo with the brie idea. But, there's a lot people who buy grocery store hamburger that has been repackaged 2 or 3 times, grey in the center, full of bacteria, who think they can cook that (crap) to medium rare also, but instead making themselves sick. They don't realize the meat you used was fresh rib and chuck that can be safely cooked to medium rare.

This is one of the best burgers I've every eaten. And with just 6 oz of meat. I used the mold from the Chicken Cakes video (also a home run). I added mushrooms to the carmelized onions. Absolutely perfect! Thanks for making the process so easy. "Even a child could do it!

Great recipe. Chef Jean-Pierre is inspirational with his cooking. Being an Aussie from Down Under I always add beetroot and pineapple to my burgers. Adds great flavour and colour to the dish.
