I’m so grateful to have grown up in Cheraw, especially the 70s when Cheraw had a strong economy from the manufacturing that was there. Left in 1976 for USC then career in NC but visited frequently until both my parents passed. It looks like the town is changing for the better after years of decline. Love seeing the downtown growth. I hope Cheraw Country Club can make a come back too.

I love your Southern accent and the way you pronounce words. That's the great thing about the USA, depending on the state, city and even towns depends how one pronounces words. It's beautiful and don't change Carolina Tony! Also maybe do some more RV videos of campgrounds because that would be awesome as well. Thank You!!

Thank you Tony for all your time and showing us around the town, and you’re right I don’t care how it bothers people when I talk southern, I’m from the south I get it all the time too. I just look at them and say if you don’t like it, go back to New Jersey.

Right? I wish those Northerners would quit coming down here, invading OUR towns, and criticizing us. I think THEIR accent is annoying. GO HOME NORTHERNERS!!

Another great vid and VERY helpful for us folks considering a move. I noticed in my research that Cheraw has a very high property and serious crime rate? Is this not the case?
@CAROLINATONY9 ай бұрын
As with every town we do have our problems. Per capita the crime is about normal for the craziest we are experiencing on our country. There is very little shopping. Super Walmart and one other grocery store. We are about a hour from Florence that has a lot of shopping and thong to do.

I was born in Cheraw in 1955. Moved when I was about 5. Try to visit as often as possible. Sorry to say I grew up in the north. But I'm still a native Carolinean.
