In the eighties Mel Gayner inspired my Drumming, that cat blew me away with his grooves and chops. I think the world of him. Today we have cherisse, a fresh energy in all departments on and off the kit. What an absolute joy. Im 58 and still drumming cherisse is inspiring in her own right, what a person and player x

I’ll never forget watching SM play ‘Waterfront’ in Sydney, 1989. They had a camera on Mel Gaynor. Never seen a drummer enjoying his craft as much as Mel that night. But, Cherisse is such a worthy replacement. Feel for days…

I might have been at that gig. All I remember is that the drum tech had to come on stage fairly early to fix something on Mel's drum kit.

In 1988 I watch Larry Mullen drum during the intro to With or Without you live and was impressed with his performance. However, watching Cherisse play anything, but especially this preformance, made me regret I didn't learn drums instead of guitar. Watching what looks like joy on her face as she plays really moved me. Is 68 too old to start learning drums?
