As a fulltime lifetime successfull artist, I've learned a lot of sayings and stories that inspired my creativity... some of my favorites... "A critic is like a man who knows 100 ways to make love to a woman but never had a girlfriend!" "Think big or go home!" and "It only takes a little bit more to go first class"! and finally, "Follow your BLISS and doors unopened to others will be opened to you!". Joseph Campbell. Creativity in any endeavor is a gift from the angels and Jess is exemplary with her visions and a lighted 4th of July sparkler for sure!!! Without a vision the people perish. Thank you Jess for your incredible courage of expression ! It helped me in so many valuable ways. As Winston Churchill said at an Oxford Graduation, "NEVER, NEVER, NEVER GIVE UP!" It was his entire speech to the graduation class after he stood up and looked out at the graduation class silent for several minutes! ...Sweet!

@ Pet Pawteek - just a guess, just my theory... it comes from jealousy, insecurity & a total lack of vision for their own lives... which I think is the saddest possibility of all. Hard to picture a person's life without the ability to see God's plan for them, which is caused by a severe lack of faith. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

I was initially drawn to Roots and Refuge because I liked how they made do with what they had, and didn't let being poor keep them from building what they needed. I will admit, as they get more and more nice stuff, I don't get as many useful ideas, but there are plenty of channels for that. Some people just don't know how to think before they speak, I guess.

I snort-laughed when she said that, sad as it was. The whole idea of someone following a content creator, and then being upset when they become successful- because they were watching their content- is so ridiculous that I couldn’t help but laugh at the self-ignorance of it all. Like, you are part of the reason they became successful. On the flip side, that reason is a part of why most of us are so happy for them, bc they’re literally living their dreams and we were able to witness and help them with that.

Exactly! They have to be able to feed their family at the end of day. I make costumes and such for my friends and a lady asked if I could make one for her. She about flipped when I told her what I would charge for it. But I know what my time and skills are worth and if I’m going to spend 100 hours making something, plus materials cost, I’m going to charge what it’s worth.

@@mio.giardino your time and skill as an offering is a great tithe. Using skills He gave us is something I think He enjoys the most. Thankfully most of my friends and family know what my time is worth and the quality of my work and are willing to work with me. The costume that inspired the gal to come up to me was made for a friend who payed for both her costume materials and materials for me to make a costume from the same series. Plus some of the work time was a birthday present. Because she’s a close friend, I’m happy to spend my time that way. I simply tell others that my work is at a professional level and I know what that is worth.

For The Feta Pasta Recipe: I use half feta half cream cheese, olive oil and tomatoes with crushed red pepper. Bake and then reserve some of the pasta water to mix in. It can get incredibly dry. I use rotini pasta bc it holds the sauce wonderfully and then add lettuce leaf basil and fresh garlic at the end. Just my version on the TiKTok video bc I tried it and it got dry fast! My recipe also heats up better!!! 😁

I made this for the first time tonight. Rotini pasta, feta no cream cheese and I used tomatoes, red pepper flakes, black pepper, garlic crushed, and olive oil and pasta water. It was not a sauce but it was delish. I had fresh cherry tomatoes from in-laws I needed to use up. I decided to try it and it was so easy. Fresh basil is a must with this pasta :)

Your successes (however someone chooses to measure them) are something to celebrate and to admire. I remember once hearing a quote that was something like “don’t take criticism from someone who you wouldn’t take advice from.” And I apply that often in my life. People have different goals and experiences and skills and paths and there are very few people who align precisely with MY goals, experiences, skills, and paths. If they’re not a person I would go to to help me along my path then I have absolute peace with the fact that my choices will differ from theirs. And quite frankly, if they’re the type of person who would cruelly cast judgement on someone else, then I wouldn’t want them to be happy with my choices anyway. Keep your path! I’m so happy to see you give an example of confidence in the face of scrutiny. Bending over backwards to please everyone is no way to live and that can be a tough lesson for some folks to put into practice because it makes them feel mean or guilty. You’re setting a great example ❤️

People sometimes have a tendency to blur the line between reality TV, and watching videos like these. It's ok to expect reality TV to maintain roles, personas, characters, with the same goals and intentions from beginning to end. But in videos like this, families uploading glimpses into their lives, it's not about the votes, or asking for permission, or even asking for validations/advice on how they are to live their lives. It's simply them, sharing their lives, with those that may be interested in seeing how they travel their paths. But they are still real humans, not characters on a screen, who dream, change their minds, alter their lives, and can pivot as often as they want, as much as they need. Like every other human on the planet. Watching these videos don't give viewers license to complain, to try to tell someone how to live their lives, or to force someone to remain on a certain path in life. If they decide they want to change directions, or make slight course corrections, or add new and different things into their lives, then it's THEIR choice to do so. If that direction is something the viewer no longer is interested in, or wants to see, then there is nothing forcing that viewer to stay and watch. They can stop watching, with a simple click of the button, and move on to other videos where the focus is exactly how they would want them to be. "Fans" of a channel don't get to dictate how the people uploading those videos are to live their lives. We're here to watch, to support, or to lose interest and leave. I've said this many times before, but it needs to be said again - you are free to have an opinion. Everyone is. But your opinion should only affect you, as it only matters to you, so if it is negative, you do NOT have the right to try to negatively impact someone else just because you happen to disagree with them. It's not YOUR life, it's theirs, and they have the right to live it how THEY wish. Unless your opinion is asked for, feel free to keep it to yourself. Do people change? Absolutely. That is the point of life, growth. If you go through life and NEVER change, then you've learned nothing. And that is sad.

I still have plants not in large pots but I'll get there. One of my cayenne pepper plants has a 2 1/2 inch long pepper on it & it's still in the 4 cell tray. Blessings to all ❤
