This video changed my life. I immediately won my next 4 chess games, got a DM from a girlfriend who dumped me 2 years ago, was hit on in the men's room and added about 2 inches (measurements approximate because I'm at work). Thank you Alex!

I did not know that system openings have better win rates. But I like the idea of not worrying about little inaccuracies because you will eventually get a position you are comfortable with.

The Jobava London worked fine for me from about February to May 2024. Then suddenly everybody seemed to know the Knight-B5-move, and ever since, I ALWAYS face the a6, the c6, the Bb4+ Variation or at least the d5-e6-Bd6. But it ist still good to see how much fun a few lines in the London actually can be, anyway. Like a landlord of mine once remarked, when I asked him, which Idiot would rent a flat with a water damage on the ceiling like that, after I woud have moved out: "well, you know every morning some fool will get up somewhere for sure".

Alexandru, I'm a big fan of your courses on chessable! I like the way you explain everything, the style of play and the positions that arise on the board. There are no puzzling options and wild complications, just a confident and good positional game, but at the same time many options are not devoid of poison, it is very attractive and fits my own style of play. I wish you success in all your endeavors and look forward to your repertoire against 1.d4, 1.c4, 1.Nf3.

If you look on lichess at how many games end up at 7:27 with this EXACT line used for the example, it’s about 5000 games and many are games between 1800-2300s. EDIT: I literally just had a game that followed this exact line all 10 moves all the way to Rd8# …..And my opponent was 1900 Insane.

Ok after watching all the jobava videos I decided I’m just gonna play it. I am having fun in the few days I’ve been playing but I need advice Since you don’t have a course on it, which resource should I use to help me with standard lines? Hans neimans course, Simon Williams course, or danya’s non chessable png? Which one did you use for your main resource? I like Simon Williams course so far but I’ve heard mix reviews
@AlexBanzea
@AlexBanzea Жыл бұрын
I have all courses, but I use my 'own ideas'. Danya's course is great for 1800+ IMO, but a bit more on the advanced spectrum. You can watch my videos tho and get a pretty good idea of what I recommend!

@@AlexBanzea I think I’ll go through all your jobava stuff again and just lay out my own private chessable with the candidate moves for some of the common responses since this is around my play level. I’m confused as to when tonplay the h4-5 push or when to play towards the gambit pushing e5 against kings Indian type stupa

IM Alex, I hope you see this. Since I started watching your videos about the Jobava London system, my ELO has reduced but I have become a better player. The reason my ELO reduced is because I am always playing against individuals of 1600-1800 Elo. I did not have any chance against them before your videos but now, I win some and even if I lose, I give them a hard time before I eventually blunder. ❤❤❤❤ I will get better for sure. If I become a GM before you, 😂😂😂😂 I will tell the world you were the bus that took me there. Thanks 👍👍👍

Opponents have fell for this so many times against the Pirc KID, I love it, however, at around 2000 level, pushing the early e5 often puts you into some troublesome situations, so enjoy it whilst it lasts, would love to see how you deal with these tricks against a 1900+ higher rated opponents but I guess you have to focus on your main audience, thanks for the videos as always. :)
