I know it's metal and it's a part of their style, but I feel like the song structures themselves, they're no free-flowing or don't have enough energy and they get wound and stuck in the middle like a pendulum that's been halted a bit and it just stomps in the middle over and over with the bass and guitar riff/chords. I think that's the only fault I find with a lot of their song writing, but then I wonder if they care as much anymore. But I guess a part of it's whether you are inspired or not. If you're inspired it probably just flows a bit, but lol. Sometimes their rhythm section just falls flat I guess.
