SEATING TAPE! I could not figure out what that stuff was called. My service manual barely says anything about how to do this-- somebody smashed out my window and it's a real relief to find this. Thanks man.

@@carlosvelazco1975 man I hope you can help me!!! Okay so I followed your video (which was a TREMENDOUS help by the way) I got my drivers side back in & it’s great & good to go. However now the passenger side almost seems like it’s “shorter” side to side now & it feels like it’s like “under tension” if you will when I tried to install it back in the door. It just won’t follow in the vertical window tracks like it did before. Is it possible that I put the sash back on backwards?? I really didn’t think that I did but man I can’t think of anything else that might be wrong. I would REALLY appreciate any input you might have!!

Can you please share with us some info about the tape you used? I bought what I thought was the same stuff and despite pounding the jesus out of the window with a rubber deadblow hammer and snotting the sash and tape like crazy with glass cleaner and dish soap I CANNOT get it to seat enough to stay installed. The tape I found is just too thick - the edge that started to fully seat was causing the tape to split.

So for the guys that are putting a window in where the old one was broken we are pretty much screwed at this point correct one more question would be where did you get the tape that the glass sets in the bracket

I bought the sash and tape from LMC and the glass fits loose???

There different glass thickness, thin glass in thick glass sash requires thicker tape ,measure your glass then sash opening the difference between the measurements divided by two willbe how thick of tape you will need (remember you want a tight fit )

well that was useless. You never replaced the glass just the rubber that holds it to the metal slide rail. I thought you were going to show how to replace the door glass into the door.
