I'm 63 with a lot of time on my hands. I learn so much from your videos. I'm in the process of doing my old Lazy Boy set and doing pretty well with it as a result of what you're teaching us. Just awesome. I watch so intentely and sometimes I have a question and sure enough... if I watch enough, you''ll answer it. Today I saw you lock stiching on the 1st half sewing midway down an edge seam and then not lock stiching when you turn it over to so the other half. I asked myself why he didn't lock stitch it? Then later on in the video you discussed starting the sewing a little behond the middle on the second half to safe time and no need for the starting lock stich. WIth enough of your videos, "I won't be that guy!' haha

Thank you for going through all the work to share your knowledge. I’m working on my own project car so am watching and learning from quite a few upholstery artists. What size hog rings do you use to upholster seats? working on a 63 impala. Keep up the good work my friend I’m learning a lot watching your videos.

Hello Vic, Thanks for hanging in there with me. I am sure you will do just fine with your '63 Impala. I never knew there were different size hog rings. Is there? For 44 years I have ordered the same standard hog rings from my upholstery supplier. Please keep liking and watching!

Could you make a video on how to make patterns for seats that you don’t have any fabric from the old seat? I have a ‘51 Chevy that I will learn how to upholstery and don’t have any fabric on it. My plan is to do old school style tuck and roll insert with that horse shoe shape outer.

I'm a shade tree mechanic and its hard working on something somebody else took apart. You make reupholstering look like a walk in the park. I recently purchased a 84 Trans Am with the Recaro seats. How do I reupholster them and keep the Recaro logo ?

When top stitching, you might want to check your bobbin thread first.

Nice seats and again excellent techniques minus the technique numbers. Here's a number technique # 376 fold the seam the one side while top stitching. Also not so happy with the way you're closing the videos. Maybe a review of what we just saw and learned.

- nice, i'd have done the same - narrower inserts. it would bug me that the patterns don't match but with that crazy gold tinted faux alligator it worked out. - re your technique nrs, been wondering about technique #1 and what it would be, just figured it out though :) - vegan leather - there are lots of different types, not all of them use plastic. the ones that do are just as unsustainable as any other plastic product. not much use saving animals if you simultaneously unsave the environment.. - and the seat hook comment made me laugh as it's also called a j-clip lol
