@@riproar11 the flight was $130 same day round trip.. went on top of the sears tower and walked around downtown, walked down michigan ave., visited millennial park, etc. and ate at lou malnati's all in about an 8 hour span and make it back to the airport in time for my flight back.

They make the best Deep Dish (along with Geno's East) & it's worth the hour wait! Me and my mother went to Chicago back in '18 (FIRST TIME), when we arrived and settled in our hotel, we went right to Lou Malnati's on State Street!! If I go back to Chicago, I WILL COME BACK!!

I worked at lou malnatis on wells street. 2006 to dec 2007. I bartended and waited on tables. The pizza is great!!! Its fresh, the crust is incredible!!! Pepperoni, cheese extra cheese buttercrust is the best. 🍕

My wife and I were in Chicago some years ago and wanted to try deep dish pizza. We asked at the place we were staying what pizza they liked. We were given Lou Malnati's name hands down from many people. So, we went and we ate. Had a pepperoni, onion, mushroom deep dish that was excellent. I wish we could go back, but rather hard to do from California.

Lou Malnati's is *by far* the best deep dish pizza in Chicago and by extension, the world. No one beats it. I recommend that you guys order a deep dish pizza with sausage and spinach. That is their best pizza. It often already comes with Buttercrust, so no need to pay an extra $0.75 for it. I've tried it with and without Buttercrust and it tastes the same.

My first time ordering this type of pizza and the last. I was at a hotel a few blocks away and read all the hype this place was getting online . I didn't really care for it to be honest. It's has a flavor less pie crust and then it's just a pile of cheese and whatever toppings you picked. It's just one big goopy mess you have to eat with a knife/fork. Sorry but I don't see what the big deal is? I'll stick with Detroit style pizza from jet's here in Cleveland.

I love their food but when my older family members came from Naples, Italy and visited the US, we flew from where I live in Naples, Florida to Chicago to eat there. They liked the food but said no one back home would call that pizza. They called it a lasagna and said Americans seem to find a way to ruin foods that come from other countries.
