Hey man, thanks for watching🤙🏼 We run NGK BR7ES plugs in all of our twostroke bikes, we have found that the “colder” BR8 and BR9 plugs are quicker to foul, especially with technical riding.

Cool Video !! I recently purchased a 2021 Kayo KT250 . It was brand new , dealer had 2 but was only able to sell 1 and mine sat in their showroom for over 2 years . Price dropped from $5000+ ( ?? ) to $3500 . Had to do some tuning on the carb and also put a new hour / tach meter on , as original did not work , but as you stated , the E start seems to be bullet proof . Purchased it to ride with my 12 y.o. Grandson and his Kawasaki KT112 . Lots of trail riding here in Southern Oregon , from easy to technical , but We stick to intermediate and easy level trails , since we can cover / ride farther . Factory states 30.1 fuel ratio but have been running mine at 32.1 , which is what his Kawasaki is supposed to have . I only weigh 150 and have gently laid it down when meeting other riders by surprise . But have had no issue in picking it back up . For the price , so far , it has been a Great bike .

Hey bud. the KT came stock with the tail lamp, i have broken it off long agonand removed it.

you seem to respond well to comments so where can i get a set of graphics i ride single track/enduro my self and would like to have a new set of graphics for my bike, mine also has been fabricated to fit a fmf yz 250 and the difference in bottom end was night and day surprisingly. really just want to know where to get a graphics set.

Hey, yeah i always try to get to all the comments and add as much value as possible. With regards to the graphics i took my KT to a local graphics company to template up the bike and then worked with them on the styling of my kit. Unfortunately the template is their intellectual property and they cant/wont give it to me so you would have to follow the same process or contact Empire Graphics to have a kit made if you live in south africa. There is a KT250 owners group on facebook, i think some of they guys on there might have templates if you are not based in south africa.

Looking to buy one of these for my wife, they look pretty sick. We do a lot of singletrack riding and some technical slow riding. You like them quite a bit? How many hours have you put on one?

Hey AJ, yeah they are great bikes. In stock form the KT should work well for what you want to do. Ive put about 62hours on this one. the e-start is very reliable, i have not used the kickstart once. And its fuel consumption is fairly economical for a 2t as well.

Hey man, im working with the local dealer (Moto Pro Motorcycles) as their test rider. The idea is to do our own development on the bike, so we can eventually produce aftermarket performance parts for the bikes or offer them as upgrades/performance packages for customers.

Ah, ok, i've understood. So, why this engine looks like a locked 50cc? I've seen yamaha wr200 and it's a beast. On the anothet side, these kt250s with the replica of the dt230 Lanza engine are so slow compared to a 1996/98 yamaha wr200. The cylinder is the same or it is a bad copy? Because i don't understand why these bikes are so slow in erogation. Thank you for answers. I'm from italy and here now are arrived these chinese replicas with the same engine of yours. Thank you

@@BRT_Motorsport i would not say that it is slow, it pulls very strong in the midrange/top end, i did a XC race where a guy with a 2022 ktm350 could not pull a gap on me. but the bottom end power is not so good for hard enduro. With the basic modification like Boyesen reeds and a better expansion chamber it makes it run nicely for any terrain

On tuning suspension, around how much do you weigh?

I am fairly light, my weight runs between 78-81kgs or 171-178lbs. I put in a stiffer spring in the rear to get the sag there i liked it. I unfortunately have no idea what the spring rate is.

How does the weight compare to major brands. 108kg is not exactly light for a 2 stroke non road legal bike

The Kayo KT250 is 114Kg, its steel frame so its a bit heavier than the euro and jap bikes. But i honestly don’t really notice it while riding, if you are gassed and you have to pick it up the you can feel the additional weight, again its really not that bad.

If you guys manage to get a custom aftermarket pipe made... I want a copy. No joke. I'm in the US, OH, and I've been contacting custom pipe manufacturers but none are near me and none have access to the bike yet...as you said, they're extremely new to the market. I'll email you guys directly if you have a website and contact info listed. A skid plate is also something I'm looking for. Edit... I think I found you on Facebook, but I don't do Facebook. Do you have another website?

Hey bud. we ended up modifying a yz250 pipe to fit, but found that it is a bit over chambered for the 224cc motor in the KT so we are currently running a modified Pro Circuit pipe off a KTM 200, that seems to be working really well so far. If you get a used one any automotive fab shop should be able to help you fit it up and do any welding work. With skid plates you would have to check and see what fits, i would assume the skid plates for the KTM models would be a close fit, we are running a Hyde skid/exhaust guard off a yz just because thats what we had at the time. Im also on instagram @mud_and_dust_media we are still finalizing our official website. If you get an IT200 pipe and a high Rev cdi it really wakes the bike up. You should seriously consider

I think in this video i had a yz250 pipe on, but i later changed to a pro circuit pipe for a ktm200 that made a huge difference in the power output.
