Danny I've gotten so much from your videos. Your descriptions are detailed and understandable and well thought out. That makes it easier to take with me to use practically. I've lost several strokes as a result of your guidance, and more importantly, I am no longer physically sore from playing, as I'm no longer forcing the strokes. It's made playing fun again and I really appreciate your contributions.

In addition your How to drive the ball for seniors has helped me to break 80 twice in the last couple of days--I shot my career round of 78 both days!!! Thank you so much. You explain in great detail and very simple to understand. Awesome instructor and very passionate. You've been an incredible help to me. Thank you!!!!

Danny, You are an awesome chipping instructor! For someone who developed the chipping yips and listened to all the advice re forward lean of the shaft etc. and watched Phil's and Dave Pelz's short game videos with little result, it is amazing to me how effective your simple and clearly explained advice is. Especially your right hand only drill. It really addresses what I have been doing wrong for the last few years. Thank you for making golf fun again! Bless you, bless you , bless you.

Brilliant Danny, I’ve had yips for 2 years as a 6 hdcp, can you imagine the frustration, this best video I’ve seen. I’ve recently watched TV golf world with Mitch Spearman in Bahamas with a young lad giving lessons. One thing he mentioned was to get your triceps attached to the front of your chest ie arms not at side of body but on chest. You say a similar thing, but this allows you to stay attached far better in one piece. It was a little pearl of wisdom, which as you state but the triceps just solidified it all, wow 😮 it’s working, taking club back lower as a result no steep angle of attack chunks any more. Thanks Danny ❤️ your work.

Bro, Thank you. I have been playing golf for 30 years and for some reason my chipping has been horrible for the last 3 years. The rest of my game is pretty good but chipping costs me at least 5 to 10 strokes a round. I am a 10 handicap and have been practicing your techniques for the last week. Your videos showed me at least 3 or 4 bad habits that I have fallen into for the last 3 years. My goal for this year is to get back into a single digit handicap. I just subscribed, you are very good. Thanks again from Canada. I

This is terrific. Thanks, Danny! First video I've seen that compares/contrasts chipping and pitching from the same distance, and I like that you point out the differences between the two approaches. And I really liked the suggestion for those timid to use a higher loft on a chip to think more like a pitch. That's me, terrified to use high lofted clubs so close to the pin. :) :)

Danny, I cannot thank you enough for sharing these amazing tips. Hi Danny, Great training, to clarify the difference. However your other training on chipping 1) up to 50 yards and 2)shorter chip shots. You used a 52/56 deg wedge. 50 yards you stood fairly tal left foot turned out,l with a very light right hand. On the previous shorter chipping you did mention weght on left foot and not as option. Sorry if I have got confused, at 71 only been playing 18mths so really enjoy your training (you tube) but I have'nt got the years to get everything right.

Great question Alvin, as the short game is varied there is more than one way to play. The key is to use the bounce of the club as much as you can and avoid the leading edge sticking in the ground

I only wish I could have similar results on my short game from what I do on practice range to the golf course...……. so frustrating ! Great videos in here !

I am usually pitching due to elevated greens, bunkers, etc on mountain courses. I use my A wedge a lot all around the green. I rarely get to make a low chip and run shot. Part of the reason is because I can often put it on the green from some distance. I see people on flat British courses chipping and running onto flat greens from short and long distances, I rarely get a chance to do that.

Great video Danny. I have a sort of advanced question for you. This method works perfectly for me. Where it's a little more of just a right wrist hinge and then I do a little bit of grip roll with pitching as well to get a little higher. But before I understood this technique I did a little more of a sweeping feel, it would feel like I could rotate my left arm back and through and get a nice smooth little pitch or I can even do that with my right wrist as well or it's more rotational. It feels like a sweep and a simple club rotation. Is that every useful from a strategy point of view to have that technique in my bag? Or should I focus more on just the hinge?

Jacob R I think it’s great you have a technique that gives you a certain type of golf shot...this is what makes the short game so much fun and very individual

Frank H In the olden days we were taught the difference was that the pitch had an added lever. Most don't understand the physics involved.

Great video again! One question. For the backspin pitches, do you open the club slightly to activate the bounce?
@DanielMaude
@DanielMaude 5 жыл бұрын
Paul Nayyar you can do or you can simply and more release to the chip shot

Danny would you suggest that it would be an important thing to at least slightly open up the club face on all pitch shots or do you think that just by using a higher lofted club that should be enough To achieve the backspin desired.Different people have different thoughts on it and it’s a little confusing.

Danny, what is the proper ball placement and stance for this method. I always get confused when they advise everyone to place the ball in the back with open stance to clear the hips.
