The part about dedicating 3-6 months of your life to creating healthy routines/habits & changing the overall trajectory of your life is sooooooo crucial!! Major thing I've learned in my big age of 33 is realizing that everyone's problems (specifically family) are not mine & it's not responsibility to help everyone. I'm figuring out life like everyone else & it's okay to be unapologetically selfish.

Everything you said is exactly things I wished I would have known while in my 20's. I'm 35 now. If I had to add a few, I would probably say a job is a job. You go there just to make money to survive. Don't feel obligated to make friends with your co-workers. Don't be afraid to go to H.R. if you feel like you're being bullied or harassed. Another good one is, people will walk out of your life and blame it on mental health. If they do this without giving you the common courtesy, let them go. And don't look back. If they did it once, they will do it again. Last one... DO NOT TELL YOUR FRIEND'S EVERYTHING. 9 times out of 10 they don't share everything with you. Keep somethings to yourself.

At 29 I offer this: Your journey is yours and it won’t look like everyone else’s. Learn to be okay with God’s timing for certain things to unfold in your life AND be okay with walking away from people, places, and things that do not align with the life you desire for yourself.

LESSON ALERT- “What’s meant to be will be” Everything happens for a reason. Don’t all ways look at something that doesn’t work out as a “let down” or “failure” some times those “failures” happen to set you up for something better that you weren’t even thinking of or thought could be possible. This applies to jobs, friends, relationships, etc. Example- that boyfriend that you just broke up with is definitely a heartbreak BUT not a life ender. If it didn’t work out it’s for a reason. Learn from your mistakes and theirs too so that you can grow from it and not make those same mistakes again. Most time after you finally get over it you realize you dodged a bullet and that you were grateful for the experience because it made you strong and more prepared.

This one is verry specific but: If you are young, have sensitive skin, & don't have enough money or courage to remove your hair with waxing, get a men's electric beard trimmer and try it. Say goodbye to those unsightly razor bumps you can get from handheld shavers. Keep your skin moisturized and exfoliate. This might seem basic, but I wish I would have known this in high school. The struggle was really really real

Ashley this video was SOOO good! I watched it all the way through and couldn’t believe it had been over an hour. I’m 24 and I’m learning to take self awareness and reflection seriously to retrain myself. It’s hard to work past mindsets and limiting beliefs you’ve held on to since childhood but it will make you a better person to be in relationship (friend, family, romantic, etc.) with and bring you so much peace! We can get so used to our damaged way of thinking that we’ll always point fingers at someone else instead of facing our toxic habits.

Every single thing was money. The jealousy thing, the career thing got me the hardest. My add on: learn to be honest with yourself as soon as possible. Come to terms with the amount of influence you have on your life because sometimes youll find yourself wanting/ pursuing things you dont even really want because of what youre consuming. Then when you learn yourself do whats best for you even if its not popular. Theres so many trends and as you get older you catch on that they are just trends you dont need to hop on them, you need to just rock with your essentials and what you want for yourself.

You hit the nail on the head when you spoke about friendships. I recently had to let a friend go simply because we were only friends because we had “pain” in common. For example, us dealing with bad relationships or mental health issues. I am no longer in that head space so I had to realize that I’ve outgrown the friendship because I’m not in pain anymore so I had to ask myself “what else do we have in common” NOTHING

Most of my peers that did have close to or 6 figures already saved up, that compound interest really is magic.

The dating part about men dropping the ball 🎯 it’s easier said than done but do not stay with a man that is not ready for you. That doesn’t even have to be financially but even as far as seeing that he’s divided or doesn’t know what he wants. Also, keep in mind that friendship is cool even if you like them, leave it at that until he’s at a better place mentally, financially emotionally, maturity wise, then y’all can date and potentially take it to marriage, but if you see and your intuition tells you he’s not ready for you or actively, consistently getting ready to be able to have a partner then let him be. If he cheats, no matter the circumstances because all men do not cheat because that was their intention, still, let him be. If y’all decide to come back to relationship status after time & healing on both ends then do that. I don’t recommend staying in situations that bring that much pain or grief into your life. Pure happiness and being treated right the first time is real and it’s out there. Also beware of married men or even older men that come after you now that you’re at a decent age in your 20s. I never had to deal with that until now. I’m 24 and I still feel like a baby 🥴 Just steer clear love. Other advice: take the time in life to be by yourself. Take yourself on dates, go to the movies by yourself, stay in the apartment by yourself without a roommate or a significant other, etc. Be by yourself, get to know yourself, love on yourself. Also, love how Ashley pointed out finding your signature. Do that! All the way down to your nail shape, hair style, perfume scents, style of clothing, etc. Loved this chit chat! It was needed 🤍

These were such good lessons that you learned!! One that I learned that has changed my life is that my life is my own. My parents (and other impt family members) opinions matter but they are not law. Also the love is unconditional, so there’s nothing I can do that will make them stop loving me. Learning that at 30 changed the way I move. I may disappoint them but if I’m doing what’s best for me, everything will work out fine! 🧡

Hello from your soon to be 38 year old friend 👋🏾 I would say to the younger ladies, and my twenty year old self ... be kind to yourself, give yourself grace. Do not take yourself so seriously, don’t be uptight; RELAX and breathe. Saying no has never been a problem for me, but I see so many younger ladies having a hard time saying no and explaining themselves. Please remember, NO is a complete statement and it doesn’t not need an explanation. Again, be kind to yourself.

I loved loved this video! so many gems. I am only 24 but I have been through a lot and I really wish I knew that life is honestly so beautiful and it is only as good as you make it. Also understanding that things do happen for a reason. And to not allow how others treat your or "love" you to determine your self worth and the love you should have for yourself if that makes sense. I am currently feeling kind of stuck so I will def do the 3-6month dedication because depression will suck the life out of you but once you get past it and no longer allow that label to define you it is tough seeing the world and getting your life back. loved this video so much!

I’m going to have so many comments on this video! I already know. First I want to chime in on the schooling. It’s hammered into the minds of young people for so long to just get these degrees with no plan to transition into actual adulthood. I also feel like Americans specifically are made to fear exploring other avenues of living life. Were taught that other countries are dangerous, encouraged to obtain education (and huge debt), work ourselves to death, obtain properties and responsibilities we may or may not be ready for (marriage, homes and children) only to miss out on so many opportunities and experiences worth mentioning. Whew! I could go on and on. Don’t get me started on the full time job crap…

I am seventeen, However I enjoy this video and reading the comments feels like advice from loving aunties. I will most definitely keeping in mind these advice and going back to this in moments I need a reminder/clarify. I wish everyone well and take care, God bless! ps - I really like the credit card tip, can't yet get one. But when I do, will be using the pay half on the 15 and the rest 3 days before the end of the month. To add for having memories and photos of loved ones! My father would take photos and I am grateful as, Its like a mental time travel through those images, looking through the photo album. So, I would suggest having a photo album/scrapbook, which is more a decorative photo album, i'd say. To have a physical copy. So when you want to tune out from media, you can still look at the memories you made through that album.

I rarely ever watch a YT video these days without skipping through it--but this was such an easy watch. You practically said everything that has crossed my mind within this past year. And, the "don't date a medium ugly man in a bad financial situation" felt like a personal attack lmao. Men of all types (unfortunately) are attracted to classy attractive women who carry themselves well and live elevated lifestyles but many men cannot maintain them; and despite social media rhetoric, wanting someone to come into your (already full) life and add to/enhance it does not make you a "bird" or "golddigger"--it makes you smart (and less miserable down the road...trust me).

Hey girl hey! We missed you here in KZbin land and you came back strong. This whole video was RNS, especially the dating part. This is so true about men who approach a woman that’s well groomed and then don’t want to take her on a real date. Women think good men don’t exist but it’s billions of people in the world, what one won’t another one will. Also women stop letting these fools tell you he likes a natural girl and he doesn’t want you wearing hair, nails and makeup. Do wtf you want don’t let him make up basic because every girl that doesn’t wear it doesn’t make them automatically pretty and the ones that do aren’t automatically ugly just always feel like you’re best self, you deserve it. You have to live with yourself other ppl don’t!

Ok Ashley 🔥🔥🔥🔥 I have watched you for years so, I feel like an internet proud aunt 👏🏾 at this point...lol The level of growth and maturity in you is amazing pooh. I agree and reasonated with a lot of what you said in this video. As ladies, we must respect ourselves and our bodies, and to put effort into taking care of it. Losing weight later in life although great, it gets so much harder to do so. That is my lesson if I could go back and change anything it would be to have stayed in the gym. Nevertheless, I remain a work in progress going after my goals. I loved this longer video. The content and quality is great. Keep these kind of videos coming
