I am in the united states and am Gullah/Geechee. I can tell you that culture was not taken from us. our culture is a mix of everyone taken as slaves. Our language and culture is still seen today if Africa. So thats not 100% correct. There were West african, North african, Eurasian, and Asians who made us. of course there are East Africans from Egypt who also fled west during the invasion of Lybians and Arabs. The carribbean people are also related to us. They have similarities to the Gullah. The gullah call the people of the carribean when they speak propper lol aka whitewashed.
