This looks amazing ... as always! Love your vids and recipes. Can I replace the almond flour with something like oat flour? Thank you xoxo
@FeastingonFruit7 жыл бұрын
tina's raw alkaline diet I tried it with oat flour and it came out too gummy for my liking, but you can if you want to. You will not need the tapioca starch though, and consider starting with less flour and only adding enough to get a roll-able dough. Good luck!
@tinaredder-truefood90087 жыл бұрын
will give it a go ;-)

What can you replace almond flour with?
@FeastingonFruit7 жыл бұрын
Other nut flours would work. AP flour could work as well if you remove the tapioca starch. You could try oat flour but it will be drier and potentially gummier too. I haven't tested any others since I LOVE the texture and moisture of almond, so you will just have to experiment. Good luck!
@calicovmin7 жыл бұрын
I have to try this! I've been wanting to make a veganized version of monkey bread for so long!

Haven't figured out a good roll-able oil-free crust yet, the one I always use is more of a press-in sorta thing. But if i find one or figure one out I will be sure to share. Sorry!
@FeastingonFruit7 жыл бұрын
One idea though is if you find one that does use oil you could sub nut butter or coconut butter, and that may work just fine. Especially if you aren't GF and can use AP flour--makes things much simpler :)
@calicovmin7 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for getting back to me! I haven't thought about using ut butter, I'll have to try that! :)
@akanksha_7 жыл бұрын
Would dried dates work? And can I substitute tapioca starch with cornstarch? And the recipe looks decadent❤
@FeastingonFruit7 жыл бұрын
Akanksha K Yes and yes! Just soak the dates in the non dairy milk for 30 mins of so before blending, and make sure you use 1 cup packed of dates which will be more than 12 with the dried ones. Hope it turns out perfect!
@akanksha_7 жыл бұрын

Does this work with oat flour instead
@FeastingonFruit7 жыл бұрын
I do not recommend oat flour because it tends to make baked goods quite dry esepacilly when working with a thicker dough as opposed to a batter. You can try it if you want, but i have not tested it and can't guarantee the results.

Can you sub the almond flour for regular
@FeastingonFruit7 жыл бұрын
I haven't tried it, but AP flour would likely work as long as you take out the tapioca as well and sub it for all the flour. But I haven't tested it so I cannot guarantee. Good luck!
