Quake is a revolutionary First Person Shooter video game, released in June 1996, and was the first fully 3D video game on the PC. Its multiplayer, called QuakeWorld, would release months later that year. Actually, there's a decent chance they're actually using the correct pronunciation, as you need to remember that Classical Latin is not the only version of Latin out there; the original Carmina Burana was written in Medieval Latin, and Carl Orff apparently preferred Ecclesiastical Latin, both of which have some pretty noticeable divergences from Classical Latin. Given that in Ecclesiastical Latin, "ecce" is actually pronounced et-che, this performance is likely sung in the Latin of the Catholic Church, not the Latin of the old Roman philosophers.
